Anassa Hotel Cyprus

Anassa Hotel Cyprus overlooks Chrysochou Bay from Neo Chorio, near Latchi and the Akamas Peninsula on Cyprus's northwest coast. Gardens, whitewashed terraces, and a Byzantine chapel give the grounds the character of a coastal village, with paths descending toward a pebble beach. Its position makes the bay and surrounding countryside a natural focus for the stay.

The resort has 166 rooms, suites, and residences set in low-rise buildings that resemble a whitewashed Cypriot village. A private balcony or terrace extends each accommodation outdoors. The main building contains several sea-view categories, while residences introduce private gardens or shared living spaces for a more independent daily routine. Couples may prefer sea-view suites or more private categories. Families can use larger rooms, interconnecting options, and residences. Selected Garden Studio and Junior Suite categories also have private pools.

A Garden View Room measures 41 square meters and sleeps two. The 47-square-meter Studio Suite with Sea View is in the main building, with a balcony facing the water and space for up to three people. Connecting versions let a family stay close while keeping separate rooms. For guests spending most of the day at the beach or around the grounds, these layouts provide a clear starting point without moving into a large suite.

The One Bedroom Suite adds a separate living room with its own bathroom and outdoor dining space. At approximately 90 square meters, it accommodates three. The main-building Two Bedroom Suite is larger, at approximately 137 square meters, and accommodates up to six. It has two en-suite bedrooms, a separate lounge, and an outdoor dining terrace. These living areas become useful when some of the group want to rest while others stay up or share a meal.

Guests staying longer may appreciate villa-style layouts and outdoor space. Alexandros sits at the resort's edge with private gardens, two en-suite bedrooms, and an infinity pool. Andromeda has three en-suite bedrooms, shared living space, sea views, and its own infinity pool. Pool heating for both residences is available on request. Their appeal is the ability to spend time together in a separate household setting while still using the wider resort.

Connecting accommodation is a practical part of Anassa's family appeal. Options include sea-view Studio Suites, Garden Studio Suites, and combinations of a Junior Suite with a Garden Studio. Separate rooms can make different bedtimes easier, particularly when children and adults share a longer stay. A residence makes more sense when communal living space and a private pool are central to the trip.

Mythos Kids Club groups children from four months through 12 years into Titans, Griffins, Centaurs, and Tritons. Its season runs from April through November, Thursday to Tuesday, with chargeable sessions. Pottery, baking, and treasure hunts are among the activities, alongside selected evening sessions for older children in peak season. Baby Go Lightly allows parents to order infant equipment and supplies ahead of arrival, and private babysitting can be arranged.

Amphora starts the day with buffet breakfast and the option to eat outside facing the sea. At dinner, Grill at Amphora turns to an a la carte menu of meat and seafood, with occasional themed buffets during high season. Ingredients combine local produce with imported meat and seafood. The kitchens also make breads, pastries, cheeses, jams, and sauces on site, giving everyday meals a more specific character than the restaurant names alone suggest. With 24-hour in-room dining, an evening meal can also be taken in your own accommodation after a day on the water.

Pelagos is the open-air taverna above the pool. Local fish, mezze, and salads give its menu a Cypriot focus that suits lunch as well as an evening meal. Helios takes a different direction with French-Mediterranean fine dining and a sea-view terrace beneath olive trees. It has a children's menu but no highchairs, a useful distinction for families with very young children.

Basiliko's candlelit, sunken setting suits a slower dinner, with Asian-inspired cooking and an outdoor dining option. Children over 12 are welcome here. The four restaurants operate on rotation, so the dining rhythm varies through the week. Meltemi, Blue Bar, and Armonia Bar add places for drinks, while Amorosa Terrace gives time outdoors another setting. Between the taverna, grill, and more formal dinners, several evenings on property can feel quite different.

Thalassa Spa draws seawater from Chrysochou Bay for its thalassotherapy treatments. Alongside the indoor swimming pool are saunas, steam baths, and a separate seawater exercise-jet pool. Treatments include skincare from Subtle Energies and Augustinus Bader. The connection to the sea is part of the spa itself, giving an afternoon here a different focus from simply moving indoors after the beach.

A fitness center, yoga studio, and squash court allow for exercise away from the shore. The indoor spa pool and gym are for guests aged 16 and above. Outdoors, the Main and Mosaic swimming pools provide alternatives to the sea. This range lets a week alternate between active mornings, swimming, and treatments, with time left for the gardens or your own terrace.

The beach is central to the resort. Its pebble shore opens onto Chrysochou Bay, where sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, and paddleboarding give guests several ways to get on the water. RYA-certified sailing and powerboat courses add a more structured option for those who want to learn. Specialist external partners operate the watersports, with their own booking terms, and conditions on the day shape activities at sea.

Beyond the grounds, Latchi fishing village is a short drive away. The hotel also places guests within reach of Polis, the Baths of Aphrodite, and the Akamas hiking areas. These are reasons to leave space for land-based outings as well as boat time.

Paphos (Pafos) Airport is the closer arrival point for Anassa, with a road transfer of roughly 40-45 minutes according to the hotel's estimates. Larnaca Airport is approximately two hours away. The hotel can arrange airport transfers, linking either arrival point with its setting on Chrysochou Bay.

Why we love this hotel

Why we love this hotel

Whitewashed buildings step through flower-filled gardens toward the beach, giving the hotel the feel of a village rather than a single large block.

At Thalassa Spa, an indoor pool sits alongside a seawater pool with exercise jets, bringing gentle movement into your relaxation time.

Grill at Amphora serves grilled seafood and meat in the evening, with a sea-view setting that keeps dinner relaxed.
