The resort sits at Anse Intendance on the south-west coast of Mahé. This broad bay is known for pale sand, granite rocks, and a wild ocean view. The hotel rises from beach level into thick green hills. Some villas stand close to the water. Others sit higher among trees and gain wider views. The 22-hectare site gives each area room to breathe.

Mahé is the main island of the Seychelles. International flights arrive on the same island, so guests continue by road rather than a second flight or boat. The hotel can arrange a private transfer. Victoria and the airport are reached across the island. Travel time varies with road and weather conditions, so arrival plans should be agreed before the stay.

Architect Jean-Michel Gathy designed 52 villas as a modern view of Creole life. The buildings use strong roofs, open rooms, shaded terraces, and a close link to the garden. Art and custom pieces add colour. Large windows bring the ocean or jungle into the room. Each villa also has a dedicated Ambassadeur who helps shape daily plans.

One-bedroom Beach Villas face Anse Intendance and sleep two guests. Jungle Hill Villas sit in deep green cover. Ocean Hill and Panorama Hill Villas rise higher for broader sea views. Their location gives more privacy and a strong sense of the landscape. Guests should compare beach access with hill views before choosing a category.

Beach Villas put the sand and sea at the centre of the stay. Their terraces open towards Anse Intendance. Indoor and outdoor areas flow together, which suits slow mornings and private meals. Hill villas feel more hidden. Granite, trees, and changing light create a different island mood. Both types keep the same focus on space, calm, and personal service.

Families and friends can choose two-bedroom Beach Villas or Beach Retreat Villas. Each sleeps up to four guests. Villa Horizon is another two-bedroom choice. It stands on stilts above granite rocks and looks across the Indian Ocean. Separate rooms give adults and children more privacy. Shared living areas keep the group together.

The three-bedroom Beach Retreat Villa sleeps up to six guests. It covers about 620 square metres across two linked villas. Bedrooms sit on two floors. Each has its own bathroom and dressing space. The garden includes an 18-metre pool, a terrace, an outdoor shower, and a shaded pergola. This plan works well for several generations or a long family holiday.

Five restaurants cover French, Japanese, Italian, Mediterranean, and Creole food. Le White is the main all-day room for breakfast and dinner. It has the feel of an art studio. Vivamento sits by the pool and draws on the Italian coast. Sula is the beach club. It serves Mediterranean dishes and Creole specialities beside the sand.

Mizumi offers modern Japanese cooking beside a candlelit lake. Le 1947 is the formal French restaurant. Its smaller number of service nights makes advance planning wise. La Table de Partage can host private group meals. Carte Blanche brings food to a villa or another chosen place. The range supports both relaxed beach days and more formal evenings.

Cheval Blanc Spa is the first Guerlain spa in the Seychelles. It sits inside the jungle and uses the sound of birds and leaves as part of the setting. Face and body treatments were made for this hotel. Each ritual can be shaped to the needs of the guest. A spa shop carries Guerlain scent, skin care, and make-up.

Yoga and meditation add quieter forms of movement. A modern gym has Technogym machines, a sauna, and a steam room. The resort also offers several pools. A 25-metre pool supports proper lap swimming. Other pools sit near Sula and Vivamento or close to the rocks. This choice spreads guests across the large site.

Anse Intendance is beautiful but can have strong water. Sea use depends on daily conditions. The resort pools offer a calm choice when waves are high. Tennis, guided exercise, and a surf practice wave add active options. Guests can also explore art around the site or spend time on the long beach.

The hotel is not built around a fixed daily plan. An Ambassadeur can arrange a mix of sport, food, spa, and local trips. This is useful on a large estate where each villa may sit far from another area. Resort transport helps guests move between the hill, beach, restaurants, and spa.

Le Carrousel is a major feature for families. The indoor club covers 250 square metres. It has areas for small children, quiet time, art, and play. Outside, 1,300 square metres hold two pools with slides and a water park. This scale gives children a real place of their own rather than a small playroom.

Family villas support the club with two or three bedrooms. Parents can plan time at the spa or a quiet meal while children join an activity. The resort team can also create plans for the full family. Beach games, art, sport, and nature may all form part of the stay.

Art is placed across the hotel rather than held in one gallery. Joel Andrianomearisoa made 52 textile pieces, one for each villa. Prune Nourry's large sculpture marks the arrival. Maximilien Pellet created a ceramic wall for Vivamento. These works add a clear visual identity and respond to the wild garden, granite, and sea.

Cheval Blanc Seychelles offers a new and highly private resort on Mahé. Its main strengths are easy to define: 52 villas, a 22-hectare site, one- to three-bedroom plans, five restaurants, many pools, a full family club, and the first Guerlain spa in the country. Beach villas suit guests who want the sand close. Hill villas trade direct beach access for privacy and wider views. Both place nature at the centre of the stay.

What to Know About Cheval Blanc Seychelles

Can guests surf or play tennis at Cheval Blanc Seychelles?

Yes. The resort's activity programme includes tennis and an artificial surf wave, alongside swimming, fitness and coached wellness sessions. Natural sea conditions at Anse Intendance can be powerful, so ocean activities depend on weather and ability; the controlled surf facility provides a more predictable alternative for practice.

Which days is Le 1947 open at Cheval Blanc Seychelles?

Le 1947 currently opens only on Wednesday and Sunday, from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. Its limited schedule matters when planning a short stay. Mizumi opens on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, while Le White and Vivamento operate daily and provide broader dining flexibility.

What is the difference between the restaurants at Cheval Blanc Seychelles?

Le White handles breakfast and cosmopolitan dinner menus; Vivamento serves Italian food from lunch onwards; Sula is the beach venue for Mediterranean and Creole lunches; Mizumi focuses on modern Japanese cooking beside the lake; and Le 1947 presents the Maison's formal French gastronomic experience.

How many shared pools does Cheval Blanc Seychelles have?

Beyond the villa pools, the Maison has four shared pools: a 25-metre lap pool beside the gym, a beach pool near Sula, a sunset pool near Vivamento and a rock-edge pool closer to the sea. The gym adds Technogym equipment, a sauna and a steam room.

What is distinctive about the spa at Cheval Blanc Seychelles?

Cheval Blanc Spa is the first Guerlain spa in the Seychelles. Eight treatment rooms sit within the jungle, with face and body rituals developed specifically for the Maison and the island setting. It opens daily from 10 am to 8 pm and also contains a Guerlain boutique.
