Antigua and Barbuda offers a Caribbean holiday shaped by the coast you choose and the time you want beyond the resort. A bay retreat, a south-coast stay and a separate island setting create different days. Start with that rhythm, then choose accommodation for beach time, privacy or exploring the islands.

The collection spans Antigua’s western bays, its south coast, the eastern shore and Jumby Bay island. Galley Bay is at Five Islands on the western side, while Hermitage Bay provides another western bay setting. These addresses make the particular bay and its surrounding landscape more useful starting points than a general north-coast resort label.
Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay add context to the island’s developed northwest coast, with watersports and an evening beach scene at Dickenson Bay. They can be coastal outings, but our hotel collection does not place a stay on either of these two beaches.
A bay or hillside retreat puts more of the holiday around the accommodation and its immediate outlook. Hermitage Bay illustrates the villa approach, with hillside greenery contributing to the setting. Compare where you will spend time outside with how often you intend to leave for outings; the larger island remains part of the visit even when the hotel is secluded.
Antigua’s southern coast has a different relationship between land and water. Curtain Bluff’s rocky promontory between two beaches illustrates a stay where the shoreline itself shapes the resort setting. Use the beach and outlook as part of the choice, then give time to the hotel when that setting is the reason for traveling.
Hammock Cove adds an eastern Antigua base beside Devil’s Bridge National Park. The nearby limestone arch was shaped by Atlantic waves, bringing a geological interest to this side of the island. This is a different coastal setting from the western bays and the south-coast resort addresses; it suits travelers drawn to the island’s rock formations as well as time at the hotel.
Jumby Bay is an island off Antigua, with beaches and winding paths that can be explored by bicycle. It illustrates a stay centered on time within an island setting. This differs from choosing a mainland base for repeated road outings: give the island stay enough space to use its setting, rather than filling the itinerary with departures.
Establish the actual island connections before combining reservations, without treating every offshore stay as the same destination.

A west-coast sailing route can combine Cades Reef snorkeling with a stop in Carlisle Bay. Choose this format when time under sail matters alongside the reef visit, rather than treating a boat solely as transport to a swimming stop. Compare the actual vessel, stops and snorkeling arrangements for your party with the operator. The route described for one tour is not a promise that every charter follows it or suits every swimming ability.
For a family stay in Antigua and Barbuda, compare a shared villa or estate with connecting rooms at a resort. A shared home puts time together at the center of the accommodation choice; connected rooms give the family separate sleeping spaces within the resort setting. Jumby Bay has private estates and villas, while Curtain Bluff’s Ground Floor Deluxe Rooms offer connecting-room options. Choose around the privacy and shared space your family needs, then confirm the exact arrangement for the reservation.
The Antigua Naval Dockyard and its related archaeological sites form a UNESCO World Heritage property, with Georgian naval buildings and surrounding defensive structures. The site explains the island’s maritime history and the labour and skills of enslaved Africans who built and operated the dockyard. Choose this visit for a deeper understanding of Antigua’s architecture and history, giving it a place in a resort holiday alongside time on the coast.
Barbuda adds pink-sand beaches and a different nature-focused experience. Its Frigate Bird Sanctuary lies in the island’s northwestern lagoon and is reached by boat. Consider the island when birdlife and a quieter beach landscape are priorities, arranging the journey and sanctuary visit as their own part of the plan. Jumby Bay is a separate island off Antigua; staying there does not mean you are staying on Barbuda.
Antigua’s cooking includes pepperpot, a stew of meats, vegetables and spices, and fungee, a cornmeal preparation. Ducana combines grated sweet potato, coconut and spices, traditionally wrapped in a banana leaf and simmered. Choose a meal around these local dishes when you want the island’s food culture to contribute to the holiday, and ask what is on the actual menu rather than expecting every restaurant to prepare each one.
