The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch sits on Beaver Creek Mountain in Colorado, United States, within the Vail Valley. Ski-in, ski-out access is the winter draw, but the building has its own presence: heavy timber, stone, broad mountain views and a Great Room organized around a three-story fireplace.
The address is 0130 Daybreak Ridge in Avon, within the Bachelor Gulch area of Beaver Creek. That position puts mountain terrain at the door while Beaver Creek Village and the wider valley remain separate outings. Eagle County Regional Airport is about 28 miles from the hotel; Denver International Airport is roughly 120 miles away.

In ski season, the hotel's direct connection to Beaver Creek Mountain makes an early start feel straightforward. Guests can move from the lodge toward the slopes without first crossing a town center. The mountain has terrain for different abilities, while ski and snowboard instruction is available through Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School.
Snowshoe hikes offer a different way into Bachelor Gulch. The hotel's guided walks focus on the landscape, including local plants and wildlife, and the surrounding forest changes markedly between snowy winter and aspen-colored fall. A day outside can end in the Great Room, whose deep seating and stone fireplace give the lodge its social center.
Warmer months open the Vail Valley's trail network. The White River National Forest is close to the resort, and hiking routes extend through Bachelor Gulch and toward Beaver Creek Village. Mountain and road biking are also part of the area, with lift-served terrain on Beaver Creek Mountain and easier rides along the valley paths.
Fly fishing takes place on mountain-fed rivers, streams and alpine lakes nearby. Golfers can look beyond the immediate lodge to Red Sky Golf Club, whose two courses were designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman. The courses belong to a broader Vail Valley outing, while the mountain trails begin much nearer the lodge.
Rooms and suites interpret a mountain lodge through wood accents, stone fireplaces in selected layouts and views toward Beaver Creek Mountain or the Vail Valley. Marble baths have separate showers, while the category determines how much living space and outdoor access you gain. A balcony or fireplace should be selected by room type, not assumed across the inventory.
The Ritz-Carlton Suite is the clearest step into a residential layout. At about 1,800 square feet, it combines a living area, stone fireplace, private study and dining room with a butler's pantry. Its balcony faces Beaver Creek Mountain, giving a larger party room to gather away from the hotel's public lounges.
One- and two-bedroom Residential Suites add a kitchen and living area. The collection extends to three- and four-bedroom penthouses with varied layouts. One penthouse layout pairs a bunk room with a separate living area.
Club access is tied to an upgraded Club accommodation, not to Marriott Bonvoy elite status alone. On dates when the Club Lounge operates, it offers a dedicated concierge, mountain views, a fireplace and culinary presentations. Club-level options include Deluxe King and Double Queen rooms as well as an Executive Suite.
WYLD is the signature American restaurant, working with local ingredients and a substantial wine list.
Buffalos takes a more casual route with steakhouse dishes, Mexican-style entrees, local brews and cocktails. Its heated outdoor terrace extends the restaurant beyond its gastropub interior.
The Great Room is built around that three-story stone fireplace. Sofas, drinks, appetizers and live music make it a place to linger, with the scale of the hearth doing much of the atmospheric work. WYLD Bar supplies another setting for cocktails and lighter food near the signature restaurant.
For a private meal, Edge of WYLD is a dining room within the resort for groups of up to 12. Anderson's Cabin sits above the hotel and was the original home of John Anderson, one of the area's early settlers. Its smaller private dining setting accommodates up to 10 and brings a specific piece of Bachelor Gulch history into the evening.
The resort also offers guided tastings of wine, whiskey and sake, along with mixology sessions led by its beverage team. A gourmet picnic is another dining format. The tastings address the history and craft behind drinks served at the resort.
The 21,000-square-foot spa and fitness center contains a stone-lined Grotto, Himalayan salt-wall dry sauna, steam room and cold plunge. Use of these wet facilities depends on their operating status during the stay. Spa facility access, when available, is for adults aged 18 and over.
The Miner's Mineral Mud Wrap combines activated charcoal from Colorado mines with amethyst oil, rose quartz salt and shea butter. Its treatment menu includes exfoliation, a wrap, scalp massage, a hydrotherapy bath and a full-body massage. The hydrotherapy bath step is subject to availability for the stay.
Outside, the heated pool and whirlpools place swimming against the mountain landscape throughout the year. The fitness center looks toward Beaver Creek Mountain and the Vail Valley, with cardio and strength equipment as well as yoga and Pilates classes. The spa has separate women's and men's lounges.
For children, in-room camping brings a tent, blankets and snugglies into the guest room. Beaver Creek Ski and Snowboard School offers group and private lessons for young skiers. In-room dining offers meals and light bites without another trip through the lodge.
Summer reaches the Colorado River through local stand-up paddleboarding tours, while rafting is another Vail Valley excursion. Closer to the resort, Bachelor Gulch has clay tennis courts with private lessons. The Riverwalk in Avon and Gore Creek path in Vail offer lower-valley rides away from the mountain trails.
Beaver Creek Sports is located at the property and can outfit guests for mountain activities. The concierge can help with arrangements across the valley, including transport and outdoor excursions. The hotel does not run its own airport shuttle.
For an evening away from the mountain, the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek hosts concerts, comedy and other performances. It adds a cultural option to the resort's own dining rooms and lounges. The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail offers another performance setting during the warmer months.
Ritz Kids programs for ages five to twelve give younger guests dedicated mountain activities while parents retain time for their own plans.
The 21,000-square-foot spa and fitness center pairs plunge pools, steam rooms, saunas, Pilates and yoga studios, and a heated outdoor pool for varied recovery.
Six on-site dining venues cover regional cuisine, sushi, gastropub plates, mountain fare, cocktails, and light bites, keeping varied meals within the resort.
