The petite desserts can also be tailored for private gatherings, extending the pastry work beyond the restaurant table.

Upstairs, CUT Above places cocktails and lighter food in an open-air setting. Lounge furniture and the skyline change the perspective from the canal below. The rooftop is a social counterpoint to the property's compact street frontage: it is still part of Georgetown, but the view reaches out over Washington rather than staying within the neighborhood's close brick walls.
