The collection includes 16 two-bedroom cottages with kitchens, living rooms and fireplaces. Single-story versions include a bunk-bed category; two-story cottages place both bedrooms upstairs, with a reading nook and furnished patio. Separate sleeping and living areas give a family space to settle in for a longer stay. Cribs and portable play yards can be requested for younger children.

One-bedroom bungalows are adults-only and intended for two guests. Todd Snyder collaborated on their design, which pairs a king bed with a stone fireplace, marble bathroom and outdoor shower.

Each Treetop Lodge combines a studio and one-bedroom suite, accommodating up to five guests. The suite has a kitchenette and separate living room; the studio has a wet bar with a mini-fridge. These units can also be reserved separately on selected nights. Screened porches extend the living space outdoors, and a shared mudroom forms part of the lodge's entrance arrangement. Accessible bungalows and Treetop Lodges include roll-in showers. Treetop Studios also have king beds and gas fireplaces.

Dogs are welcome in four designated two-bedroom cottages and two bungalows. This is a limited selection within the resort, so a dog-friendly category needs to be reserved specifically. Up to two dogs may stay, each weighing no more than 75 pounds and at least one year old. Dogs left alone in accommodation must be crated. Dogs must be leashed on the grounds and cannot enter the pools, Tree Spa, Earth or indoor common areas. Those distinctions allow a cottage stay with a dog without implying that every part of the resort is pet-friendly.

Earth's cooking follows the Maine growing season under executive chef Justin Owen. The kitchen works with local farmers, fishermen and foragers, alongside the resort's organic gardens. Seafood, wood-oven cooking and seasonal pasta give the menu its range, with herbs and fruit also finding their way into cocktails. Candlelight and a woodsy dining room keep the meal connected to its surroundings.

Reserve a table for the prix fixe experience; bar seats are available without reservations and have an à la carte menu as well. Earth is a year-round restaurant, distinct from the resort's seasonal lodging. For a private dinner, the Potting Shed seats up to six amid plants, lanterns and vintage garden tools. The Painting Shed accommodates up to twelve, with artwork, a vaulted ceiling and views toward the chef's garden. These are intimate, separately arranged dining spaces within the restaurant's woodland setting.

Guests can pick ripe produce in the organic garden or cut flowers for their cottage. The community Potting Shed has shears and vases for making a bouquet, while sessions with the resident gardener introduce what is growing and how it is harvested. These small, hands-on activities make the gardens part of the visit, especially for children who enjoy seeing where food comes from.

Outdoor art classes and scavenger hunts add to the family program. Nature walks take guests into the woods, and the evening bonfire brings people together over s'mores. Programming varies with the season, with both guided activities and time to explore independently. For an outing on the water, kayak and canoe rentals are available through Kennebunkport Marina, with launches downtown. The marina activity is separate from the resort grounds.

The Lodge Pool is the family swimming area, beside the main lodge. The Serenity Pool, near Tree Spa, is adults-only. Both are outdoors, with different locations allowing families and adults seeking a quieter swim to use separate spaces. The Back Porch Bar is another gathering point near the lodge, while the Farm Bar at Earth serves poolside drinks and small plates.

A fitness studio has indoor cycling, treadmills and rowing machines, and outdoor yoga classes accommodate different levels of practice. Beach cruiser bikes are available for local exploring, while golf carts can be rented for moving around the grounds. Paths through the property also make walking part of an ordinary resort day.

Tree Spa's three treehouse-inspired treatment rooms place the spa among the birches. It is a small appointment-led space near Earth and the Serenity Pool, with massage, facials and body treatments forming the core of the menu. Therapists discuss preferences before tailoring a treatment, using botanical oils and herbs within a program that also includes warmed-stone massage. Couples can reserve a private room with two therapists for a shared appointment.

The treatment menu includes products from Salt & Stone and Farmaesthetics, with facial and body options arranged individually. Children are not admitted to the spa. Appointments are best reserved in advance. The surrounding trees and elevated treatment spaces provide the spa's character, keeping the experience closely tied to Hidden Pond's woodland setting.

The coast is a short outing from Hidden Pond, not a beach at the end of the cottage lawn. A beach shuttle links the resort with its sister property, The Tides Beach Club, on Goose Rocks Beach. The Tides has a beach path and an ocean-facing porch, with a seasonal restaurant serving Maine seafood for lunch and dinner.

Hidden Pond's address is 354 Goose Rocks Road. Guests making a reservation and checking in must be at least 21 years old. Portland International Jetport is the nearer air gateway; Boston Logan provides another arrival option farther south. Either requires onward road travel to the resort, and driving times depend on traffic. A car is useful for exploring beyond the beach-shuttle route.

Road access to the Kennebunks is via the Maine Turnpike, with local roads completing the approach to Goose Rocks Road. This places Hidden Pond on a driving route through southern Maine, with Portland to the north and Boston to the south.
