Le Quartier Français, part of Leeu Collection, is situated in the Franschhoek Wine Valley heart. Guests can either relax in the gardens or walk out of the hotel into the main road with its array of delightful shops and galleries, a perfect base for exploring the Wine lands.
The essence of Le Quartier Français is its vibrant décor. With 5 room types, it offers spacious, comfortable Auberge Rooms to Grande Rooms with high ceilings and oversized chairs. Followed by the Petite Garden Suites with their private courtyards leading up to the Pool and House Suites that feature their own gardens with swimming pools and the extra-large Four Quarters Suites, which leave nothing to be desired. Families are catered for in the Pool and House suites offering complimentary loft rooms for children with their own amenities.
La Petite Colombe is being driven by celebrity chef Scot Kirton and John Norris-Rogers. Tasting menus focus on the finest local and seasonal produce, recommended with a rate and fine wine selection. The sunny Garden Room is a beautiful, inviting space that opens up onto a manicured courtyard through wide glass doors. The breakfast buffet offers home-made granola and pastries (including the famous and delicious sticky buns), plenty of seasonal fruit, freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices, and infused teas.
The Bar at LQF is a trendy, sociable space with a wood-burning fireplace. Outside seating creates the perfect spot to relax over a drink and watch the main street's activity. Savor the signature craft gin cocktails or create your own G&T from the menu of delicious ingredients. A tapas-style menu is also available. Guests have the opportunity to mingle with the locals in the onsite Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines Screening Room (the only movie house in town) featuring some of the latest movies, or choose a classic from the library of over 200 DVD’s and book this 30 seater cinema for their private use.

Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines - By 2016, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines had notched up no less the 18 five-star ratings from Platter’s South African Wine Guide since their first release in 2008 and was also named the wine guide’s Winery of the Year in 2014 and 2016. Wine Enthusiast, the prestigious US magazine, named Andrea its 2016 Winemaker of the Year. The Mullineuxs follow a reasoned approach to farming in all their vineyards and endeavor to be as natural and organic as possible. Some of the vineyards are certified organic. Chris expertly manages the vineyards.
Chris and Andrea’s aim is to bottle wines that are a true expression of terroir, from grapes best suited to the particular site’s conditions. Each step in Andrea's meticulous winemaking process is taken, keeping this objective top of mind. Grapes are hand-picked, and the approach to winemaking is minimalist – no yeasts, acids, tannins, enzymes, or filtering agents are added. Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines’ two portfolios have two distinct stories to tell. The Swartland portfolio encompasses the Signature, Terroir Specific, and Kloof Street ranges, and the Leeu Passant range is made in Franschhoek from grapes sourced from a variety of regions outside the Swartland.
