Choose a St. Moritz hotel around the part of town and the kind of day you want to enjoy. Dorf’s shops and hotel addresses, Bad’s position toward the southern lake edge and an elevated outlook create different starting points. Mountain activities can shape the visit without filling every hour; give the town’s smaller cultural places and the return to your hotel a role too.

St. Moritz has two principal centers. Dorf is the busier village setting, while Bad lies toward the southern edge of the lake. Compare them through the places you expect to use each day, rather than treating a St. Moritz address as one location. Repeated returns to the hotel matter as much as the first departure.
Via Serlas, where Badrutt’s Palace stands, and Via Veglia, the Kulm’s address, support a village-centered shortlist. Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski is on Via Mezdi in the Bad setting. Carlton occupies an elevated position above the lake. These are examples of the local choices, not four equivalent entrances to the same daily itinerary.
Identify the actual departure point for the terrain or outing that interests you before selecting accommodation around it. The Corviglia area has approaches from Dorf and from Bad’s Signal side, with the operating route dependent on the current lift arrangements. Check the service for your dates rather than relying on a general ski-resort description or assuming every hotel is beside a departure.
Muottas Muragl offers a separate mountain choice when the panorama is the main attraction. Its funicular starts at Punt Muragl rather than at a Dorf or Signal departure, and the outlook takes in the Upper Engadin lake plateau. Make this a distinct outing from Corviglia: the broad view of the valley and its lakes gives the mountain visit a clear purpose without requiring a day built around skiing or a long walk.
The Segantini Museum gives the surrounding mountains a cultural counterpart. Its domed hall contains the monumental Alpine Triptych, Life, Nature and Death. The scale and three-part subject make this a focused encounter with Segantini's Alpine painting, rather than a general survey of local art. Add it when the landscape itself is a reason for the journey and you want to explore how it became the subject of major works.

The Mili Weber Museum preserves a home whose furniture, walls and ceilings were painted with flowers, birds and imagined figures. It offers an intimate artistic interior rather than a broad gallery survey. Arrange the current visit and check the approach to the house on Via Dimlej; do not assume that a car can be driven to the entrance.
Museum Engiadinais focuses on regional domestic and living culture, bringing historic interiors and objects into the visit. Choose it for the everyday setting behind the valley’s grand-hotel image. Give the collection its own time and check current access rather than treating it as another stop to photograph from outside.
The Berry Museum in Villa Arona is devoted to Peter Robert Berry, the doctor who became a painter. His works include oil paintings, pastels and drawings inspired by the Engadin landscape. It suits a visitor interested in one artist’s way of seeing the mountains; check the current exhibition and visiting calendar before arranging the day.
It is the surviving tower of the former St. Mauritius church, providing a small heritage focus within the town. Choose it as an architectural landmark rather than assuming there is a complete church interior to visit. Check local access arrangements and view it from the appropriate public route, without expecting tower climbing to be available.
Olympia Bob Run offers guest rides in a bobsleigh on its natural-ice track, with a pilot and brakeman. This is a separately arranged sporting experience, not an ordinary sightseeing lift or a hotel inclusion. Check the operating calendar and participant requirements with the operator before making it central to your stay.
