Saint George gives a Grenada stay two complementary settings: the capital’s harbor and the southern coast where the hotels stand. Choose accommodation around the way you want to divide your time between them. A waterfront town visit need not become an all-day island circuit, while a coastal base should be selected for its own surroundings rather than the city name attached to the booking.

The Carenage is the capital’s harbor setting, with waterfront buildings and boats providing a different experience from a resort day. Make it a deliberate town outing: choose the places you want to see, allow time to stop, and decide where the driver should collect you afterwards. A Saint George hotel address does not mean a room overlooking the Carenage.
Our collection lies farther south. Spice Island Beach Resort and Silversands Grand Anse are on Grand Anse; Calabash is at Lance aux Epines; Silversands Beach House occupies the Portici setting. These names describe separate coastal positions, so keep the actual entrance and return journey in your plans rather than treating the hotels as one harbor neighborhood.
House of Chocolate at 10 Young Street gives time in the capital a food-history focus. Its small museum explores chocolate's history, with chocolate made on site and a boutique devoted to Grenadian cocoa products. Choose it when you want the island's cocoa to be part of the town visit, rather than leaving food discoveries entirely to resort dining.
Grand Anse’s beachfront hotels make the shore a natural part of that rhythm. The bay setting at Lance aux Epines and the bluff-and-beach surroundings at Portici offer different contexts for returning after town. Use those physical differences to shortlist a base, without assuming identical facilities or shared access between neighboring properties.
The Grand Anse Craft and Spice Market offers a shopping visit within the southern coastal area. Local vendors sell aromatic spices alongside jewelry, leather goods and other crafts. It serves a different purpose from Young Street's cocoa stop or the batik workshop described below: choose it for a range of spice and craft purchases during a Grand Anse day.
For wider forest journeys, agricultural heritage and inter-island combinations, use our Grenada destination guide.
Fort Frederick stands above the harbor and gives an elevated view toward the Carenage, coast and inland ridges. It suits a visitor interested in the relationship between the town and its landscape. Arrange the journey to the fort itself and check current access; a hilltop viewpoint is a separate stop from walking beside the water.
Art Fabrik on Young Street combines a boutique with a batik workshop producing hand-painted textiles. It adds a craft-focused purpose to time in town, distinct from buying a general island souvenir. Check whether the workshop can receive you on the day; observing production is not the same arrangement as reserving a hands-on class.
Morne Rouge, also called BBC Beach, offers a crescent of sand in the south. Consider it for a change of beach setting rather than assuming your hotel occupies it. Assess the day’s water conditions locally and establish any facilities you need; the beach’s shape does not guarantee swimming conditions or supervised access.
Grenada Golf and Country Club has nine holes, with separate tee positions allowing a longer round over the course. That makes a shorter session a practical option to investigate before committing a full day. Confirm a tee arrangement and equipment with the club; a nearby hotel stay does not itself include golf.
Port Louis Marina lies in the Lagoon opposite the Carenage. It provides a specific starting point to discuss with a charter operator, rather than assuming a boat will collect you at a resort beach. Confirm the actual berth or meeting location, boarding arrangements and route for your party before arranging the journey from the hotel.
