The building began as a 16th-century Roman residence and became a hotel in 1845. Before that, the palazzo accommodated guests of the Torlonia princes. The Roman Dream Suite has a living room with a dining table, an additional half bathroom and a split-level bedroom, with steps between its dressing and sleeping areas.

The Penthouse Suite occupies 80 square meters indoors, with a 70-square-meter furnished terrace overlooking landmarks between Villa Medici and the Vittoriano. Its living room has a 19th-century yellow Siena marble fireplace, opening onto dining and study areas. The bedroom and marble bathroom complete an arrangement for two guests. The terrace belongs to this suite; it is distinct from the hotel's rooftop cocktail bar.

Indoors, the dining room accommodates lunch and dinner as well as a more leisurely afternoon stop. Executive Chef Andrea Sangiuliano interprets Italian cooking through ingredients and traditions from Lazio. A Roman pasta such as amatriciana gives a clear sense of that regional grounding, while the menu changes with the seasons.

The restaurant also serves breakfast, with artisanal pastries among the choices. Its terrace operates beyond summer, although an outdoor table is naturally a different proposition in cool or wet weather. The appeal is the contact with street life: a meal here takes place within the neighborhood, with the hotel entrance close by.

Café Romano Lounge Bar has a more English-influenced interior and a drinks list that extends from coffee to cocktails and digestifs. Signature drinks draw on local ingredients and change with the seasons; nonalcoholic options are part of the selection. The enclosed lounge provides another setting for an aperitivo before dinner or a drink afterward. It has its own character within the hotel, separate from both the restaurant terrace and the open-air bar upstairs.

On the sixth floor, Terrazza Romana looks across the city's roofs. Wrought iron, hand-painted tiles and terracotta tones give the cocktail bar a distinctly Mediterranean character, with lemon trees and other planting around the seating. Both residents and outside visitors are welcome, so this is a shared social space rather than a private hotel-guests-only terrace. The drinks include house cocktails, sparkling wines and nonalcoholic choices, with Italian amari for a later drink. The terrace accepts walk-ins without a reservation.

Travertine, vaulted ceilings and warm metallic details set the tone in the Spa Suite. The hotel's Craft Experiences connect guests with working Roman workshops through the concierge. At Sartoria Ripense, the focus is bespoke tailoring and the making of a garment. Le Sibille introduces Roman minute mosaic and micromosaic through jewelry, including the chance to watch a piece being made. Manifattura Cappelli combines an archive and workshop visit with a demonstration and the making of a traditional hat bow. These are arranged visits with individual craftspeople, giving the shopping district around the hotel a more personal context. They also echo the attention to textiles and handmade objects inside the palazzo.

The arrival address is Via Bocca di Leone 14. From Roma Termini, Metro Line A toward Battistini stops at Spagna, followed by a walk to the hotel. Taxis and private transfers provide alternatives with luggage. The hotel estimates about 45 minutes by car between Fiumicino Airport and central Rome, but traffic can extend the journey.

The surrounding historic center has restricted vehicle access and parking under Rome's ZTL rules. Guests arriving in their own car should give the concierge the license plate details and confirm the permitted approach before driving into the zone. Once at the hotel, Via Condotti, the Spanish Steps and the nearby shopping streets are accessible on foot; the concierge can arrange transport for destinations farther across the city.
