The hotel meets the neighborhood at The Terrace, where outdoor tables face the fountain and planted gardens rather than an internal courtyard. Rodeo Drive is only a block away, yet the view from a table is across lawns and white parasols. The restaurant's setting gives the hotel a direct relationship with the public garden beside it.

The rooms and suites share a restrained palette, collectible artwork and marble bathrooms, yet the categories serve quite different purposes. The Terrace Room measures about 540 square feet and opens onto a furnished private terrace with seating for two. It gives a guest outdoor space without requiring a suite-sized layout.

The Library Suite offers about 875 square feet, a lounge, shelves of books, art and a writing desk. Its appeal is in the interior itself: there is room to read, work or share a drink without using the bed as the only place to sit. The one-bedroom Terrace Suite is larger still, with a dining table for four and a substantial furnished terrace.

Maybourne also lists king and two-queen guestrooms, plus suites and residences. Several categories have connecting layouts, and room outlooks include the city, garden and Hollywood Hills. The hotel FAQ describes full marble and mosaic-tiled bathrooms with separate showers and soaking tubs. That consistency sits alongside marked differences in floor area and outdoor space across the categories.

The Library Suite has a walk-in closet, a bespoke writing desk and a dining table for two; its books and art lend it a different character. Beyond the suites, Maybourne lists three- and four-bedroom residences in its room collection.

The Terrace follows the garden setting with outdoor tables and a menu shaped by California produce, house-made pasta, meat and fish. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here. The Maybourne Café is more casual, with coffee, pastries and lighter meals, so a morning at the hotel need not begin in the main dining room.

The hotel's private dining offers another scale of gathering, including a Chef's Table and rooms for intimate events. In-room dining is available as well. Those choices sit apart from the garden terrace and the rooftop's social energy, and they give a group or a guest staying in for the evening a more self-contained setting.

On the ninth floor, Dante Beverly Hills takes a different approach: Mediterranean-inspired food, a wood-fired oven and aperitivo-style cocktails against rooftop views. It is the West Coast outpost of the New York restaurant and bar. The open-air terrace gives dinner a sense of place that an indoor dining room could not reproduce.

The Maybourne Bar serves cocktails, caviar and oysters, while The Whisky Bar has a more specialized list of Scotch, Japanese whisky and American bourbon. Its humidor holds more than 1,000 cigars. These menus set the bars apart from Dante's aperitivo-style drinks and from meals at the garden-facing Terrace.

The Spa at The Maybourne has a co-ed mineral pool, along with separate sauna, steam and relaxation areas. Treatments include massages, facials and body services. The spa's bathing rooms give it a character beyond the treatment menu: time in the mineral pool is an indoor experience with a different atmosphere from the open-air rooftop pool.

Above the hotel, the heated rooftop pool looks toward the Hollywood Hills. Loungers and private cabanas surround it, with food and drinks from Dante Poolside. A swim here is as much about the open skyline as the water itself: the pool's ninth-floor position brings the hills and the city into view at once.

The fitness center adds a practical counterpoint to both pools, with cardio and strength equipment available around the clock. The spa's mineral pool, the rooftop pool and the gym are separate experiences; grouping them all under the word wellness would miss the choices the hotel actually offers.

The spa also houses a salon, while Gornik & Drucker provides barber services at the hotel. These are small but distinctive additions to the treatment menu. They make the spa area useful for grooming as well as time in the mineral pool, particularly when the stay includes an occasion at one of the hotel's event spaces.

The interior design draws on Los Angeles' mid-century furniture tradition without turning the rooms into period sets. Rounded silhouettes and California pastels sit beside contemporary art and large windows. In a Library Suite, books and artworks become part of the room's character; in a Terrace Room, the doors and outdoor seating do more of the work.

Concierge assistance is available for local plans, and the hotel has private dining and event spaces as well as its everyday restaurants. That range matters for a property in central Beverly Hills: a meeting or family occasion can remain on site, while an ordinary coffee or lunch can still take place beside the public gardens.
