From there, a long flight of steps leads toward the beach, Nura, and the family facilities by the water.

This arrangement gives Amanpuri a vertical character. Reaching the shore, spa, or a hillside pavilion can involve steps and sloping paths. Raised walkways preserve privacy between accommodations. The resort suits travelers who want the beach, dining, wellness, and activities gathered within one protected setting. Guests focused on walkable nightlife, markets, and a large choice of casual restaurants outside the gate will find other parts of Phuket more convenient.

The Pavilion and Garden Pavilion categories each combine 1,238 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. A king bedroom, wood-paneled interior, dressing area, deep soaking tub, and private outdoor sala create a generous one-bedroom layout. The distinction is primarily outlook and position: Garden Pavilions face the greenery, while higher categories bring partial or broader Andaman Sea views. Not every pavilion has its own pool, an important point when comparing categories.

Garden Pool, Partial Ocean Pool, Ocean Pool, Deluxe Ocean Pool, and Premium Ocean Pool Pavilions add a private swimming pool to the terrace. The Ocean Pool Pavilion measures 1,582 square feet across its interior and outdoor areas. A dining terrace and lounging sala face the water. Deluxe and Premium positions are intended for stronger sea views. The Garden Pool category places the same emphasis on outdoor privacy within the tropical planting.

The Two-Bedroom Pool Pavilion is a useful bridge between a pavilion and a full villa. It measures 2,820 square feet across its interior and outdoor areas. Two freestanding king bedrooms have large en suite bathrooms with soaking tubs. A private pool, sun deck, and dining terrace form the shared space. Couples traveling together gain separate sleeping quarters. A family can keep time together centered on the pool without taking on the scale of a multi-bedroom villa.

Amanpuri's Villas range from three to nine bedrooms. Garden Villas sit within dense tropical foliage; Ocean Villas occupy the peninsula with wider views across the Andaman Sea. Bedrooms are arranged as separate structures around expansive living and dining areas, terraces, and a private swimming pool. Thai art and antiques give each villa a more residential identity than the pavilions.

Every villa has a dedicated Villa Host and personal Thai chef. Breakfasts, family meals, and unhurried evenings can take place at home, while the main restaurants remain close at hand. Arva takes a different course with Italian food shaped by seasonal ingredients, including fresh pasta, risotto, and dishes designed for sharing.

Akari overlooks the sea from the top of Amanpuri's signature steps. Its Japanese cooking follows the washoku tradition, with an omakase counter, izakaya-style seating, and a sake bar in a Kengo Kuma-designed room. Down on Pansea Beach, Nura centers Mediterranean plates on seafood and meats cooked over charcoal. The Sunset Terrace provides the natural pause between pool, dinner, and the evening view.

The Beach Terrace adds seasonal drinks and dining, with wood-fired pizza, grilled fish and meat, Thai dishes, and salads. Private dining can also move beyond the formal venues to a pavilion sala, a villa, or the sand. The range matters when the peninsula itself becomes the focus of the stay. A day can move from southern Thai flavors to Japanese precision or a relaxed meal by the water without repeating the same setting.

The central pool remains one of Amanpuri's defining spaces, framed by the main pavilion and dining rooms. Closer to the shore, the Pool Terrace has a second, 20-meter midnight-blue pool overlooking Pansea Beach. Selected pavilions and every villa have private pools. A morning swim or family afternoon can therefore remain within the accommodation.

Pansea Beach can be as quiet or active as the day requires. Paddleboards and selected non-motorized equipment support simple time on the bay, while the watersports program extends to wakeboarding, waterskiing, eFoils, and scuba diving. PADI instruction begins in a resort pool, and private boats can reach Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi, and the Similan Islands. Routes and activities depend on sea conditions and local availability.

The Holistic Wellness Centre has 12 treatment rooms, a glass-walled sea-view gym, an infrared sauna, and steam facilities. Yoga and Pilates studios sit alongside a Muay Thai boxing ring and four floodlit tennis courts. Wellness can begin with a massage and movement class.
