The hotel faces Lake Geneva from Quai du Mont-Blanc, with the Jet d'Eau across the water. The fountain rises 140 meters above Geneva's harbor. Mont Blanc Square and the quay give the landward side a different setting from the lake-facing rooms.

Geneva's Cornavin rail station and the Mont Blanc bus stop are nearby transport connections. Geneva Airport is 7.3 kilometers from the property. The concierge can assist with transport arrangements, including private cars and limousine or van services. Valet parking and on-site laundry are available, along with dry-cleaning services.

Bains des Paquis lies 0.7 kilometers away and Plage des Eaux-Vives 2 kilometers away. The Jet d'Eau, Old Town and Flower Clock are among the city's landmarks. Beyond the waterfront, Carouge has independent shops and artisanal workshops along its alleys and passageways.

For children, the Ritz Kids Corner takes an underwater theme inspired by the lake. Pastry classes with the hotel's chef introduce typical Swiss desserts, while chocolate workshops with Swiss chocolatiers focus on making chocolate sculptures. The concierge can arrange these sessions. Treasure hunts and children's menus are also part of the hotel's family offering.

Swiss watchmaking also appears in the hotel's program through ateliers led by Bucherer watchmakers. The hands-on sessions introduce the history and techniques of fine timekeeping.

Inaugurated in 1865, the Hotel de la Paix became a Geneva meeting place for international travelers and political figures. The hotel connects its name to the city's history of diplomacy. In 1871, American and British representatives met in Geneva for the Alabama arbitration; the hotel later hosted an official dinner in September 1872.

The main lobby has an Italianate character, with white marble walls and dove-gray furnishings. A jeweled chandelier hangs from the heights of the galleried space, forming a centerpiece above the contemporary furnishings.

La Galerie du Temps Suspendu brings another historical layer into public areas. Its tapestries portray figures associated with the hotel, including Giuseppe Garibaldi and Victor Hugo. The works extend across several floors, giving the building's past a visible place beyond the lobby.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company signed an agreement to manage the property in 2016.

The 2-Bedroom Lakefront Suite measures 140 square meters. Two bedrooms, a separate living and dining area, and two en-suite bathrooms give it a clearly divided layout. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony face Lake Geneva, the Jet d'Eau and Mont Blanc. Marble features and warm textures carry the Italianate design into its contemporary interiors.

The Grace Kelly Suite is named for the Princess of Monaco, a former guest. At 105 square meters, it has a master bedroom, separate living and dining areas, a kitchenette and a bathroom. Art Deco details, gold leaf and a Baroque fireplace refer to the building's past. Its furnished balcony looks over Lake Geneva and the Alps.

The 70-square-meter Mont-Blanc Suite preserves 19th-century wooden flooring and an original fireplace. It has a spacious living area, a private balcony and en-suite bathrooms with soaking tubs. Expansive windows frame Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.

The Living Room combines international cooking with views across Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. Its setting includes antique parquet floors, a Baroque fireplace, modern lighting and custom seating. Breakfast and weekend brunch are part of the restaurant's program, but the room also functions as a place for meals later in the day.

Fiskebar takes an exploratory approach to seasonal cuisine. The restaurant's setting combines a dining room, an open-kitchen area and lake views. Local sourcing and a changing seasonal menu guide the cooking. For private events, the two spaces can accommodate live cooking demonstrations as well as seated meals.

Dans le Noir? serves dinner in complete darkness, with visually impaired staff guiding and serving diners. Its surprise menu explores flavor, aroma, texture and temperature without visual cues. Creative, seasonally inspired cooking is part of the experience, which takes place within the hotel.

FRED Bar is influenced by the artwork displayed around it. Aperitifs, local wine and sharing plates are offered alongside cocktails, with tastings forming another part of its program. Eclectic furnishings and collectibles give the room a vintage character.

La Vallée Spa Suites is located within the hotel. Treatment rooms and a private hammam form its core spaces, and the spa can be reserved in its entirety. Its offerings include face and body rituals, massages and a Welnamis bed that combines gentle vibrations with sound. Couples massages and in-suite massages are available, while facial rituals begin with a personalized skin analysis. The Welnamis experience can also be booked on its own.

The treatment rooms can be used privately or shared with a small group. A separate fitness center has cardio and strength equipment, free weights, rowing machines and exercise bikes. Cold towels, fruit and refreshments are provided there.

The Rive meeting rooms use warm gray tones, floor-to-ceiling windows and modern technology. The two rooms can be reserved together for a sit-down meal of up to 60 people. The hotel's event team arranges personalized setups and menus, with the individual Rive Gauche and Rive Droite rooms also available for smaller meetings.

The Living Room, Fiskebar and FRED can also be used for gatherings. Event equipment includes LCD projection, microphones, teleconferencing and videoconferencing, with an audiovisual technician available to assist. Portable stages, spotlights and lecterns are available for presentations, while planners can coordinate photography, decoration and registration services. Wired and wireless internet connections are available for events. Business services include computers, printing and copying.
