The British influence also finds expression in afternoon tea, while the setting remains unmistakably Genevan: the lake fills the outlook from the front of the building, with Mont Blanc visible when conditions allow.

Room orientation is a meaningful distinction here. Classic Queen rooms face the courtyard and average 23 square meters. Their queen beds measure at least 150 by 200 centimeters, and original artworks form part of the decor. Tea and coffee facilities, twice-daily housekeeping, and 24-hour room service provide the practical foundations of a stay in this category.

Premium King rooms average 33 square meters and look toward the city. They have a desk, richly patterned fabrics, and a king bed, with twin beds also available. The larger floor area and choice of bedding distinguish them from the courtyard-facing Classic Queens.

Exclusive Lake View rooms average 37 square meters and have king or twin beds and marble bathrooms. Their decorative themes include Baroque and African influences, so the category does not imply a uniform interior. The common feature is the view across the water. The Junior Suite faces the courtyard, with high ceilings, large windows, and a substantial sitting area. At an average of 50 square meters, it has a king bed and a marble bathroom with twin basins, a bathtub, and a separate rain shower. It is a different category from the Junior Suite Lake View, which faces the lake and Jet d'Eau. Only some of the lake-view junior suites have balconies.

The Bellevue Suite measures approximately 70 square meters and has a lake-facing balcony where guests can sit down to drinks or a meal. Its bed measures two meters square. The balcony gives this suite an outdoor setting of its own, with space to spend time above the waterfront rather than only viewing it through the bedroom windows.

Designed by Vicki Tollman, the Beatrice Suite combines bespoke Italian millwork with fabric-covered walls and art by Picasso, Joan Miro, and Alexander Calder. A living and dining salon contains an Italian marble table seating four, and the outdoor terrace faces Lake Geneva and the French Alps. Up to four additional bedrooms can be added to the arrangement.

Its two bathrooms include a soaking bath in one and a dual shower and private hammam in the other. These bathing facilities belong to the suite. Chess and backgammon, private dining, and seating on the terrace allow the rooms to function as a place for gathering as well as sleeping. The design brings together antiques and commissioned pieces without losing the hotel's layered interior character.

Le 17 takes its name from the hotel's address. Floor-to-ceiling views frame Lake Geneva, while a Josper grill shapes the cooking under Executive Chef Alexandre Cardiga. The menu follows seasonal ingredients, with Swiss beef, fish, and vegetables cooked over the grill. Lunch has a lighter emphasis, including salads and lake fish; dinner gives more space to fire-led dishes.

Dining is a la carte, and the sommelier recommends wines according to the dishes chosen rather than a fixed pairing menu. Wines by the glass allow a different selection with each course. A children's menu is available, and the kitchen caters to vegetarian and vegan diets. The dining room retains the lake as its focus throughout the meal.

Afternoon tea expresses the hotel's British side through finger sandwiches, homemade pastries, and freshly baked scones. The scones come with homemade jam and Gruyere double cream, a Swiss detail within the traditional service. Betjeman and Barton teas accompany the stand, and vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus are available. The ritual has a setting directly opposite the Jet d'Eau.

Leopard Bar gives the hotel its evening personality. Live jazz by local bands accompanies classic and contemporary cocktails, with an extensive whisky selection behind the bar. Food includes sushi and the Leopard Bar steak sandwich, so an evening here can include a casual meal. Live music takes place on selected evenings.

The adjoining Cigar Lounge has original artwork, wood paneling, and a dedicated extraction system in the floor and ceiling. Guests may bring drinks into the lounge, but food is not permitted. Music from Leopard Bar is streamed into the room, connecting the two spaces while allowing cigar smokers a designated setting of their own.

The hotel arranges access to the gym and classes at neighboring Activ' Fitness. Private yoga sessions can take place in a guest's room, as can massages and beauty treatments. Yoga mats are available to borrow, and the team can suggest walking and running routes beside the lake. These arrangements center on in-room services and an external fitness club, not a shared hotel spa complex.

Salon Parquet has original nineteenth-century flooring, golden chandeliers, and a lake outlook. The blue-walled Louise room provides another setting for a private gathering. The hotel accommodates meetings and private meals within these rooms, with layouts arranged for the occasion. Their historic interiors continue the character of the bedrooms into the business and entertaining spaces.

The concierge can arrange a market visit with Alexandre Cardiga, followed by cooking in the hotel kitchen and lunch at Le 17. Watchmaking has an equally local connection: at the Initium workshop, guests learn the fundamentals, select components, and assemble their own watch. Both are separately arranged experiences, subject to availability, with the market visit returning guests to the hotel's own dining room.

Geneva Airport has a direct rail connection to Cornavin station, followed by a walk of around seven minutes to the hotel. The route follows Rue des Alpes before turning left onto Quai du Mont-Blanc. By road, the hotel's airport-transfer estimate is twenty to thirty minutes, depending on traffic. A private car and valet parking can be arranged through the concierge. Boats also depart from the waterfront near the hotel, placing lake crossings alongside walking and public transport as ways to explore Geneva.
