A Junior Suite adds a living area and either a terrace or balcony. The larger Suite and Capitolo Suite bring outdoor space into the experience more fully; the latter also has a bathtub and walk-in shower. These are meaningful distinctions for a stay with time to spend at the hotel, less so for a short visit centered on Genoa.

Families have an officially listed Family Room for up to four people, with a terrace. Its exact bedroom arrangement and any connecting configuration should be confirmed against the room offered for the travel dates; the published category description does not establish those details. This matters more than a category name if adults and children need separate sleeping space. The same care applies to travelers with specific access needs: confirm the relevant room and route with the hotel rather than infer them from a general facilities label.

Botanico gives the property a dining address of its own. The restaurant describes a Mediterranean approach grounded in local ingredients, including Taggiasca olives and extra virgin olive oil. Its glass-wrapped setting keeps the gardens in view, so dinner need not feel like a retreat indoors after a day on the coast. The kitchen's regional focus is a better reason to eat here than an expectation of a fixed list of Ligurian dishes; menus can change.

Liquido, the bar, has signature cocktails and a selection of Italian and international wines. It offers a natural pause after the promenade or before dinner, and gives guests an easy alternative to going back into central Genoa for the evening. Neither venue makes Nervi a nightlife district. The appeal is having a good meal and a drink close to the room while keeping the quieter pace that brought you here.

Onde Wellness has an outdoor pool integrated with the garden, while the spa includes a heated hydromassage pool, sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp path, relaxation area and cabins for treatments. The fitness center uses Technogym equipment, and there is a golf simulator room. These facilities give Capitolo Riviera more depth than a hotel selected only for its location. They also make it easier to leave part of a day unscheduled, especially after exploring Genoa on foot.

Pool time and treatments are different plans, however. Guests intending to build a day around the spa should check access, treatment reservations and operating details for their stay. The existence of an outdoor pool does not mean that every part of it will suit every season. What can be said without that promise is that the combination of indoor wellness space, garden and coast gives the hotel several ways to spend time on site.

Nervi has a recognizable life beyond the hotel gates. The Passeggiata Anita Garibaldi runs along the rocky shore, with views over the water; the Parchi di Nervi bring historic villas and substantial green space into the neighborhood. These are reasons to allow time locally rather than treat the hotel only as a sleeping base. The shore here is about walking and looking out to sea, not the straightforward sandy-beach day some travelers expect from the word Riviera.

Central Genoa still belongs in the itinerary. Its old streets, port and cultural sites offer a useful contrast to the open coastal setting, and Nervi is connected to the city by train and bus as well as road. The Riviera di Levante can also be explored from here, but a trip toward Camogli or Portofino calls for transport planning, not an assumed quick hop. For repeated city appointments, calculate the journey rather than choosing on the strength of a coastal photograph.

Capitolo Riviera is most persuasive when the stay can include both sides of that geography: a day in Genoa, then a return to the gardens, a swim or a drink at Liquido; another day kept closer to Nervi's parks and promenade. It is a contemporary, design-conscious way to stay near the city with room to slow down. The trade-off is distance from the historic center, and for the right trip that distance is precisely what gives the hotel its character.
