Before it became a hotel, the building was Villa Saint-Louis, where F. Scott Fitzgerald and Zelda stayed in the 1920s. Their time on this coast informed the world of Tender Is the Night, and the villa remains central to the hotel's story. In 1929, Boma Estène and his wife Simone acquired the property and turned it into a seaside hotel. The Estène-Chauvin family continues that connection.

Belles Rives retains the feeling of a waterfront residence, with terraces directed toward the bay. Its literary association gives Bar Fitzgerald its name, but the enduring physical link is the villa itself: a house built directly beside the sea, later adapted for guests.

Superior Rooms measure 20 to 26 square meters and overlook holm oaks and gardens. Superior Sea View Rooms have private balconies, while Deluxe Sea View Rooms measure 25 to 28 square meters. The 38-square-meter Family Room is a junior-suite layout with separate sitting and sleeping areas and a garden outlook.

For two bedrooms, the 58-square-meter Family Suite has separate bathrooms and a small living room. Sea View Suites measure 60 square meters, with balconies and two bathrooms. The first-floor Zelda Suite is 48 square meters, with two separate areas, two bathrooms, and a sea-facing balcony.

The 60-square-meter Cottage stands opposite the hotel in an annex, reached by pedestrian access. It has two connecting bedrooms, one bathroom, an entrance hall, and a shaded private terrace looking onto its garden. This is a separate setting from the rooms above the waterfront, not an additional sea-facing suite.

La Passagère holds one Michelin star. Chef Aurélien Véquaud's cooking gives fish, shellfish, and seafood the central role, drawing on regional produce and less familiar local catches. The sea-facing terrace looks toward the Lérins Islands, so the coastal setting remains part of dinner as well as part of the menu.

Indoors, Olivier Antoine's design preserves the restaurant's Art Deco character through chrome chandeliers, mirrors, period murals, ceramics, and a mosaic floor. Large windows bring light into the room. The pastry program completes the meal with inventive interpretations of familiar desserts, without breaking the restaurant's Mediterranean direction. Both the dining room and terrace have access for guests with reduced mobility.

La Plage Belles Rives serves a more informal meal beside the water. Its cuisine follows Provence and the Mediterranean, with seasonal ingredients and dishes intended for sharing. Lunch can be taken at a restaurant table, while desserts and lighter refreshments can also be served to a lounger. The beach restaurant is part of the hotel's summer life, closely connected to the swimming and watersports activity around it.

Bar Fitzgerald takes its design cues from a 1930s ocean liner. A curved black-marble counter, original oak parquet, and period windows face the Mediterranean, with deep armchairs arranged beneath crystal chandeliers. A fresco maps the French Riviera in stylized form.

The bar serves cocktails, afternoon tea, and a more relaxed dining selection. Piano music accompanies selected evenings, and the terrace extends the room toward the bay. It works as a place for a meal or an aperitif in its own right, with the same sea outlook as the hotel's more formal dining spaces.

The beach combines sand, a sunbathing deck, beach huts, and a pontoon with a private landing stage. Access is directly through the hotel or from the pine-grove side. Sunbeds and beach huts are rented separately, and loungers require a reservation for hotel residents as well as outside visitors. The managed beach is not reserved exclusively for overnight guests.

Water-skiing is an established part of Belles Rives. The club teaches children over three as well as adults, and the activity list includes swimming lessons, pedalos, and paddleboards. The pontoon is a base for time on the water, with sea and weather conditions shaping activities. Swimming here is in the Mediterranean, so proximity to the shore should not be confused with guaranteed calm water.

The Valmont Beauty Corner is an appointment-based treatment space at Belles Rives. It works with Valmont and La Canopée, with facials, massages, and beauty treatments available to residents and outside visitors. In-room massages can be arranged on request. The Beauty Corner centers on individual appointments in its dedicated treatment room.

For a heated swimming pool and health club, guests use sister property Hôtel Juana, approximately 200 meters away. Those facilities are off-site. Belles Rives also lists yoga on its pontoon among its experiences, bringing an outdoor option to the property's wellness program alongside treatments at the Beauty Corner.

Paseo is another reason to visit Hôtel Juana. Although it appears within the Belles Rives dining collection, the restaurant is at the sister hotel. Its food takes inspiration from Provence and the Mediterranean, and its lounge format accommodates a drink, a meal, or a daytime meeting. It is a nearby alternative to dining on the Belles Rives terraces.

The address puts the hotel beside the sea on the road toward Cap d'Antibes, with Juan-les-Pins' pine grove nearby. Beyond the beach, the coastal path provides another way to explore the cape. Antibes old town has its Provençal market, ramparts, and the Picasso Museum in Château Grimaldi. These are distinct outings from the hotel's waterfront setting, adding food, art, and architecture to a stay centered on the bay.

Nice Côte d'Azur Airport is the regional gateway. Juan-les-Pins railway station is about one kilometer from the hotel; high-speed rail services call at Antibes, with local trains connecting the two stations. Drivers arrive at 33 Boulevard Edouard Baudoin, next to Port Gallice. Valet service and nearby private parking are available. Road journeys along the coast depend on traffic, particularly during the busier summer months.
