Barbecues operate on a first-come basis, so a picnic need not depend on finding one immediately. Palm Tree Court offers another setting, surrounded by palms and flower displays. For a quieter pause, Sunset Glade sits toward the top of the parkland, away from the main picnic lawns.

Airtrain connects Brisbane Airport's domestic and international terminals with city stations including Central and Roma Street. Luggage racks, air conditioning, and onboard restrooms make rail worth considering when planning your arrival.
