The Beekman

The Beekman

In the heart of vibrant Lower Manhattan lies The Beekman, an architectural gem hailed for its iconic nine-story atrium and pyramidal skylight, uniting some of the world’s greatest talent including the sophisticated design of Martin Brudnizki and award-winning restaurateurs Tom Colicchio and Keith McNally.

Passionately restored to its former glory, the historic landmark building exudes elegance and charm. Award-winning designer Martin Brudnizki enhances the intersection of classic and contemporary elements by adorning guestrooms with a refined mix of bespoke furnishings and custom artwork.

Built in 1881 as one of Manhattan's first skyscrapers, The Beekman is a masterpiece reimagined. The interior is stripped back to its purest form and focuses on quality finishes, rich materials and a carefully curated selection of vintage furnishings and curated art. Stepping out onto the corridors, guests will be able to admire the ornate wrought-iron detailing around the atrium as they look up towards the pyramidal skylight above.

The Atrium - An Architectural Sensation, The heart of The Beekman is undoubtedly its nine-story atrium. Capped by a pyramidal skylight, the one-of-a-kind feature has been passionately restored, illuminating the hotel from within. The upper levels of the atrium are decorated with Victorian wrought-iron railings and balustrades and ornamented with flowers, dragons, and sunbursts. On the main floor the atrium forms a stage where guests can gather in a series of intimate seating areas amid decadent décor.

Want For Nothing - It’s all here, destination dining, welcoming lounges, hidden cozy corners, and staff eager to exceed your expectations. Gathered the greats –restaurateur and chef Tom Colicchio and restaurateur Keith McNally – the renowned creators of world class dining experiences. Allow their restaurants to surprise, indulge, and nourish you at The Beekman.

The Temple Court
- Tom Colicchio - Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Tom Colicchio pulls inspiration from the rich history of the building and his own culinary journey to provide a menu of classics, old and new, reinvented with his signature, seasonal touch. The a la carte and five-course tasting menu feature dishes such as Maine Lobster with chanterelle mushrooms and tarragon, presented in the style of Lobster Thermidor and desserts such as Tarte Tatin with sun gold tomato and peach. Set with rich, jewel-toned furnishings and antique accents, Temple Court stands as a one-of-a-kind setting for dining in lower Manhattan.

The Bar Room at Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court is located beneath The Beekman’s stunning, nine-story Victorian era atrium and offers a singular New York setting to enjoy a list of handcrafted cocktails alongside an all-day menu. With plush lounge seating and a distinctly old New York feel, The Bar Room at Temple Court is a new entry in New York City’s canon of destination bars.

Augustine - Keith McNally’s, Augustine is a Brasserie-style restaurant: open from breakfast through supper, it caters equally to a mid-morning coffee as well as a celebratory dinner. The menu includes a combination of lighter dishes as well as French classics, with a special Rotisserie and Grillades section of meats, fish and poultry. Keith McNally’s first restaurant was The Odeon in 1980. Since then he’s opened Café Luxembourg, Nell’s, Lucky Strike, Pravda, Balthazar, Balthazar Bakery, Pastis, Schiller’s, Morandi, Minetta Tavern, and Cherche Midi, as well as Balthazar in London.

The Alley Cat - Amateur Theatre, This once-hidden cellar and century-old mechanical room has been transformed into an intimate lounge that echoes both the eclectic individuality of Tokyo’s secret bars and the classic American cocktail club. New York’s iconic late-night impresario, Serge Becker, known for establishments like The Box, La Esquina, and Miss Lily’s, lends his energizing and theatrical charisma to this atmospheric haven, where musicians and renowned DJs drop by to share their talents.
