Views differ substantially by category: the building has residential-facing rooms as well as those looking toward the coast.

At approximately 400 square feet, Deluxe rooms occupy upper floors with residential views to the north, south, or east. Ocean View rooms face north or south, while Ocean Front rooms face west directly toward the Pacific. The latter also measure about 400 square feet and overlook the pool from the upper floors. Palm Terrace King rooms have their own outdoor patios beside the pool terrace, putting outdoor seating immediately outside the room.

The 600-square-foot Santa Monica Suite has a king bed and a large living area with a queen sofa bed. Its outlook is residential rather than oceanfront. Local art, books, and a work desk give the space a residential feel, while the marble bathroom includes a massage tub. The additional living area accommodates a small gathering without requiring guests to sit around the bed.

In the two-bedroom Pacific View Suite, arched windows frame the ocean and Santa Monica Pier. Its approximately 1,800 square feet include a living room with a fireplace and queen sofa bed, a dining area, and a den with a desk. The main bathroom receives natural light through an ocean-facing window. Blue, green, and pale yellow tones run through the rooms, with art by local artists. The arrangement provides several shared spaces around the two bedrooms.

Multi-Bedroom Ocean Front Suites can be configured with one to four bedrooms. They have ocean-facing living space, a sofa bed, and a personal library. The larger combinations bring families or friends together around a shared living room, with bedroom numbers and sleeping arrangements confirmed for the party.

Three Penthouse Suites occupy the hotel's top floor. Each spans two levels, with space for entertaining downstairs and views across the Pacific. The high ceilings come from an unusual part of the building's past: these spaces were originally racquetball courts. At approximately 1,500 square feet, the penthouses include living and dining areas and two queen sofa beds. Their main bathrooms have hydrothermal tubs and east-facing windows. The internal staircase and split-level plan give these suites a different layout from accommodation on the floors below.

Terrazza's soaring windows frame the Pacific near the pier. The restaurant serves Mediterranean-inspired cooking with California influences, drawing on seafood, pasta, vegetables, and grilled dishes. Shrimp spaghetti and grilled dorade sit comfortably within that coastal approach. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch take place in the same ocean-facing setting, with lighter food between the main meal periods. The menu includes vegetarian dishes and zero-proof cocktails, and children have their own breakfast, lunch, and dinner choices. Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant welcomes visitors as well as overnight guests.

The Lobby Lounge is the hotel's social center, with ocean views during the day and live music in the evening. Cocktails and light bites make it a place for a drink before dinner or a nightcap afterward. Its indoor cabanas are semi-private spaces for small events and meetings, with custom menus available by arrangement. They are part of the lounge, not poolside daybeds, and can be reserved for gatherings of up to 40 people.

Closer to the sand, Patio del Mar is a seasonal outdoor bistro at the foot of the hotel. Its tables bring lunch or an early evening meal into the sea air. The setting is beachside and informal, distinct from the tall-windowed dining room above.

The heated outdoor Palm Terrace Pool sits on the fifth floor, with views over the ocean. A Jacuzzi and two outdoor fireplaces accompany the deck, where chaise lounges and umbrellas face the water. Seating is first come, first served for registered hotel guests. Poolside food and drinks are available during designated service periods, weather permitting. The terrace is elevated above the beach, with the hotel's wings framing its outlook; reaching the sand means returning to ground level.

Sea Wellness Spa occupies the fourth floor and takes appointments for massages, facials, and nail care. Swedish, deep-tissue, and hot-stone massages are available, and couples can have simultaneous treatments in a room for two. Facial options include HydraFacial and oxygen treatments. Manicures and pedicures extend the menu beyond massage and skincare. Treatments are booked separately, and the spa welcomes local visitors as well as hotel guests.

The fitness center is open around the clock. A private yoga studio sits within the spa, while instructors can also lead sessions on the beach. Private training is arranged in advance through Sea Wellness Spa and carries an additional charge. Group beach yoga follows the hotel's schedule, with check-in at the front desk of neighboring Shutters on the Beach.

Connecting rooms and cribs can be requested, subject to availability. A maximum of one rollaway is permitted per room, with an additional charge. The Beach Concierge operates along the beach path in front of Shutters, behind Coast Beach Café and Bar. Seasonal services include beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and equipment rentals such as bicycles and boards. The public beach and coastal path lie outside the hotels, with the pier within walking reach. Beach setups and activities have their own arrangements rather than forming a private stretch of shoreline.

The entrance is at 1910 Ocean Way. Los Angeles International Airport is about eight miles away, with driving time dependent on traffic. The concierge can arrange cars through local transport partners, and valet parking is available at the hotel. Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Place are within walking distance; travel farther across Los Angeles generally involves a road journey.
