The Goring was first inaugurated in 1910 by Otto Richard Goring. Even though countless years have elapsed since its establishment, it remains a family property to date. It has maintained its crucial significance and reputation and even hosted the Duchess of Cambridge and the Middleton family a night before the royal family wedding. Nobles, dukes, and notable individuals belonging to wealthy households well admire the magnificent manor. The Goring Hotel London is the only hotel that has received a Royal Warrant of appointment to The Queen for hospitality services. Back in 1919, the mother of Winston Churchhill, Lady Randolph Churchill made the Goring Hotel to her home.
The Goring is located in Belgravia, Central London on Beeston Place. A massive, lush-green garden, spindly trees, and bright blossoms fill the air with a sweet scent surrounding the resort. Moreover, right across the resort is Buckingham Palace.
On a short walk from the hotel is the Victoria tube station. Hence, guests can easily travel around the town and explore London's famous attractions with their friends and families. The property sits in a secluded spot, away from the city's hubbub. Therefore, guests can be assured of a peaceful stay. Additionally, the Houses of Parliament and boutique shops are not far away.
The longstanding royal legacy of this 5-star hotel in London speaks volumes about its unique infrastructure and design. The hotel places careful attention on luxurious details and extravagant furnishings. Built in impeccably English style, this historic resort boasts gilded ceilings and crystal chandeliers that shimmer in pastel light.
The unique interior décor allows the resort to live up to its reputation. Crimson-hued walls have silk curtains and are adorned by original art pieces from the Victorian era. The Goring regularly hosts high-end clientele, primarily individuals visiting to attend events at Buckingham Palace.
Moreover, the beautiful Edwardian architecture and spacious hallways allow guests to taste classical times. The Dining Hall, designed by David Linley, is another excellent space. It has a lot of fancy lighting and blossom chandeliers. Furthermore, a humorous aspect is incorporated by adding elements like a fuzzy mascot and Pink Panther references.
The Goring offers a total of 69 guest rooms, and all are adequately luxurious. The rooms have handmade carpets and damask silk wallpaper at this classic English boutique hotel complementing the neutral color theme. Like many regions of the resort, rooms and suites have also undergone renovations over the years.
Russell Sage redesigned the interiors to incorporate a contemporary design to the classic outlook. He also decorated the prestigious Royal Suite that covers an enormous area and is the signature suite at the resort. The Royal Suites accommodates two bedrooms, a dining room, a sitting room, and a private veranda with a fascinating view of the lovely Goring private gardens.
The bedrooms emanate a glamorous yet residential vibe and have Gainsborough silks on the walls. Adjoined to the bedrooms are marble bathrooms with soaking tubs and oversized showerheads. Moreover, they also have high-quality toiletries, mirror glass, and double vanities. Guests can also binge-watch shows on the flat-screen television.
On-demand, you can also receive 24/7 room service and edibles. These include coffee, afternoon tea, snacks, and meals delivered right to your room.
In September 2015, The Goring Dining Room received its first Michelin star. The head chef, Shay Cooper's inventive cooking skills and her ability to reproduce some of the best traditional British dishes led to this tremendous achievement.
Shay Cooper's delicious dishes are loved by the visitors, who can't get enough flavorful cuisines. Furthermore, the sommelier helps the guests with their favorite drinks and ensures they get the perfect finish to their meal. Moreover, the lovely ambiance of the Edwardian dining room further enhances the holistic dining experience.
Visitors can expect freshly cooked meals at the Dining Room, including Romney Marsh lamb and fish from the Cornish coast. The holder of three AA rosettes never fails to live up to its incredible reputation. For breakfast, delicious eggs (from Clarence Court hens) are available in addition to a lobster omelet and Drumkilbo.
Besides, to perfectly complement each dish, guests can help themselves with wild herbs and truffles under the guidance of the Goring forager. Visitors at The Goring hotel particularly love ordering the tantalizing roast ribs of beef served in a silver trolley with a flourish.
In all of London's bustling bars, The Goring Cocktail Bar steals the limelight with its incredible service and posh ambiance. It also has a great cocktail list that primarily focuses on British spirits. Moreover, the team of bartenders at the bar, led by Bar Manager Tiago Mira, utilize more than a hundred herbs from the botanical garden to recreate signature cocktails that will blow away your mind. Some popular orders include The Goring Cup and The Rosehip Royale. Furthermore, the cocktail list is full of classical favorites that integrate The Royal Warrant holder's liquors.
The famous Russell Sage also designed the intimate Goring Cocktail Bar. The bar features a live musical show by a professional pianist to keep the visitors thoroughly entertained. The Goring Cocktail Bar also offers its visitors a fascinating opportunity to enjoy late-night drinks at one of the best bars in Belgravia.
This luxury hotel allows its guests to hold events in any of its massive halls. You can pre-book the private rooms and halls to organize parties and wedding events.
Visitors at The Goring always have great things to say about the staff at the resort. David Morgan-Hewitt, the managing director, and the concierge team are immensely amiable. Moreover, they try their best to make the visitors feel at home.
In addition to the impeccable service, the resort also provides additional amenities. These include access to the gym where guests can train, follow their gyming routine, and keep up with their physical fitness.
Additionally, rooms have access to free wi-fi, and they are stocked with cocktails and drinks. The suite also offers butler service 24 hours to ensure the visitors are comfortable at all times.
Staying at The Goring is a truly remarkable experience. It is one of London's most prestigious hotels, chiefly due to its royal heritage. Ever since 1910, the boutique hotel has been catering to high-end clientele. Moreover, its unparalleled services have gathered much respect and adoration. Its Edwardian architecture, elegant furnishings, and elaborate display of luxury are unique to its name.
The Goring stands out from the crowd as London’s last family-owned luxury hotel, with over a hundred years of passion for hospitality and commitment to service.
Set on a quiet, leafy street in Belgravia, one of London’s most desirable areas. The Goring is well located to enjoy the best that this exciting city has to offer.
The hotel’s Michelin-starred Dining Room serving delicious British favourites with a twist. Other treats not to be missed are the hotel’s large private garden and afternoon tea.
