This is not a marina hotel, and it is not in Bodrum town. The hotel puts Türkbükü about ten minutes away by car, with Yalıkavak Marina around 25 to 30 minutes away. Bodrum Castle and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus are farther south, approximately 30 to 35 minutes from the resort; the harbor takes longer. Those estimates depend on traffic. Milas-Bodrum International Airport is roughly a 45-minute drive, and hotel-arranged airport transfers are available. A town visit is a separate outing, rather than something to fit into a short walk before dinner.

Beyond rooms and suites, Mandarin Oriental, Bodrum includes villas and apartments. That breadth makes the accommodation decision more interesting than a choice of view alone. Many categories have balconies, terraces or gardens, while private pools belong to selected accommodations. A Sea View Suite has a pool on its terrace; villas range from one-bedroom layouts to larger homes for groups. An apartment may be the more useful starting point for a longer family stay, particularly when meals at home matter.

The Sea View Room gives a good sense of the interiors. Its 72 square meters include wood floors, Turkish rugs and handwoven leather headboards, with king or twin beds. Floor-to-ceiling windows keep the sea in view, and the marble bathroom has a separate bath and walk-in shower. Many rooms in this category also have a balcony or terrace. These are substantial rooms in their own right, with enough detail in the materials to keep the contemporary design from feeling anonymous.

For a family needing separate bedrooms, the Two Bedroom Sea View Apartment has a king bedroom and a twin bedroom within 124 square meters. A kitchenette adjoins the living room and dining table, and there is a balcony looking over the resort toward the Aegean. The shared living space is useful when children's bedtimes and adults' evenings do not coincide. This layout puts more emphasis on everyday living than on a private pool, with the resort's beaches still part of the stay.

Swimming need not mean the same setting every day. In addition to the two beaches, the resort has three outdoor swimming pools and a dedicated children's pool, plus an indoor pool. The family pool and play area give children a place within the wider resort day.

Blue Beach Club & Bar keeps lunch close to the water, with loungers, private cabanas and a menu that includes Turkish kebabs, pizza and ice cream. It is the straightforward beach-day option: a place for a snack or a longer lunch without changing the focus of the afternoon. A children's menu is available here too.

Hakkasan anchors the evening dining with modern Cantonese food in an open-air waterfront setting. Much of the menu is intended for sharing, so dinner naturally works around several dishes for the table. ROKA takes a different approach, with an outdoor robata grill at the center of its Japanese cooking, alongside sushi and sashimi. It is a dinner-only restaurant. These two venues give guests distinct reasons to spend an evening on the property, rather than treating resort dining as a convenient fallback.

Gigi Bodrum brings an Italian beach-house setting by architect Hugo Toro, with lunch, dinner and a beach club on a private stretch of shore. GAIA's summer residency turns toward Greek-Mediterranean dishes for sharing, while Maison Revka pairs French and Slavic influences with seaside lunches and terrace cocktails. Ferdi Baba provides the Aegean seafood option. Guests staying for a week can change tone without leaving Paradise Bay, though the full range depends on the dates of the stay.

Dining follows the Bodrum season, and the selection of venues changes between midsummer and the quieter ends of the calendar. Beach clubs, destination restaurants and the main hotel dining spaces do not all share the same operating season. Plan a stay around the bay and the accommodation, then reserve the particular restaurants that matter to you for the dates of your visit.

Breakfast at Sofra is a more locally grounded part of the day, with Turkish and Mediterranean influences. Bread and pastries, eggs, yogurt, cheese and fruit make up the spread, and tables are available indoors and outside. Groups can sit together here without making every meal a destination-restaurant occasion. Elsewhere, Hafız Mustafa 1864 specializes in Turkish delights and other sweets.

The children's program extends beyond the pool. The Kids' Club works with Gymboree on activities indoors, outside and at the beach, while the art studio includes painting and clay work. Sofra and Pool Bar & Restaurant also have children's menus. Families with very young children should establish age eligibility and supervision arrangements before planning time apart.

For time on the bay, the Water Sports Centre arranges activities including paddleboarding, canoeing and scuba diving. A private traditional gulet excursion takes the day farther along the coast, with opportunities to swim and snorkel in other bays. It is an appealing change of perspective after several days looking out at the water from a terrace.

The Mouratoglou Tennis Center adds a substantial sporting reason to stay. There are three tennis courts and three padel courts, with coaching suited to different abilities. A court session can be part of the vacation for an occasional player as well as someone who wants to keep practicing. The fitness program also includes Pilates, yoga and swimming lessons.

The 2,700-square-meter spa includes a Turkish hammam and heat and water facilities, with sea views carrying the coastal setting indoors. It merits time beyond the treatment itself; the spa recommends arriving 45 minutes before an appointment. Standard admission is restricted to guests 18 and older, while the fitness and wellness center has a minimum age of 16. Separately arranged family wellness experiences should not be confused with general access. For an adult afternoon, the hammam brings a distinctly Turkish element to a stay otherwise spent largely outdoors.
