The hotel's waterfront extends for 500 meters and includes its own water sports school. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards provide one way to explore the shore; sailing, water-skiing and wakeboarding lessons take the activity further onto the lake. The marina team also arranges yacht and boat charters, including Riva boats. Equipment, instruction and charter arrangements vary by activity, so a lesson or crewed outing needs its own reservation.

Guests bringing a boat can request one of the harbor's eight berths. The marina crew can help with launching, retrieving, cleaning and provisioning, making the hotel a practical lakeside base as well as a place to hire a boat. On land, the gardens provide direct access to the lake. Swimming depends on weather and water conditions; the private shoreline does not turn Lake Maggiore into a controlled pool.

The resort has 95 rooms and suites. Color remains part of its identity, with individual layouts and furnishings that vary within categories. The outlook is equally important. Comfort Double Rooms face the mountains and street, while Deluxe Double Rooms have partial lake views from a balcony or terrace. Panorama Double Rooms face the lake and have a south-facing balcony and seating area.

Junior Suites come with either mountain or lake views. The mountain-view category has separate living and sleeping areas and a terrace or balcony. One Bedroom Superior Suites look toward the lake from a west-facing terrace, with the view described as partial.

One Bedroom Deluxe Suites measure 50 to 75 square meters and occupy the main or middle building. They have separate living and sleeping areas, a balcony or terrace with direct lake views, and either a king bed or twin beds. Bathrooms include a rain shower and bathtub. Carlo Rampazzi's designer furniture brings the color and shape associated with Eden Roc into these larger rooms.

The Two Bedroom Panorama Suite measures 110 square meters in the middle building. Its terrace looks across Lake Maggiore, and two bedrooms can be arranged with king or twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one with a rain shower and one with a bathtub, plus a separate guest toilet. The living area is apart from the bedrooms. That layout gives a family places to gather and separate bedrooms to return to at night.

Designed by Carlo Rampazzi, the 2,000-square-meter Eden Roc Spa includes pools, saunas, treatment rooms and a fitness center. The water facilities comprise three swimming pools and a hydrotherapy pool that also functions as a whirlpool. The indoor-outdoor pool measures 21 by seven meters. A mixed sauna area has a Finnish sauna, sanarium and steam room, while a separate women's area has its own sanarium and steam room.

Massages, facials, hairdressing and manicures can be booked, with Pharmos Natur and Cellcosmet among the skincare brands. Moving Mountains activities include yoga, workouts and fitness classes, alongside private training. Children 12 and over may enter the spa pool area with an adult; the sauna area is for guests 16 and over. The main spa facilities operate during the resort's summer season. Winter stays center on Eden Roc Marina, with its heated indoor-outdoor pool.

Restaurant Eden Roc serves Mediterranean cooking under Salvatore Frequente, with plant-based menus among the choices. Marina Restaurant has a more casual lakeside setting, serving seasonal dishes, homemade pasta and international classics. Its Bar & Lounge is directly on the water, while Eden Bar has a terrace and serves cocktails, including alcohol-free versions.

La Brezza is Marco Campanella's fine-dining restaurant, awarded two Michelin stars. At Lakehouse La Casetta, Nicola Montalti focuses on fish and Mediterranean cooking at the water's edge. The venues have different service patterns, but the lake runs through the dining experience, from a Marina lunch to a longer dinner. Restaurant Eden Roc and La Brezza request long pants for gentlemen at dinner.

La Casetta has a history beyond its restaurant tables. The former boathouse hosted talks connected with Operation Sunrise in 1945, when Allied generals met German military representatives to discuss withdrawal from Italy. Its position within the hotel grounds places that episode of European history alongside the everyday life of the resort. Today, the small lakeside house remains an identifiable part of the property, with its dining room looking directly onto Maggiore.

Near the entrance, Casa Epper was the home and workplace of artists Ignaz and Mischa Epper. It hosts visual exhibitions, workshops, lectures and talks. Art also appears in the garden, where the couple's old bocce alley adds a more informal connection with their life here. The house gives an afternoon at Eden Roc a cultural focus without requiring a trip away from the grounds. Exhibitions change, so the house's program is separate from its permanent history.

The summer Kids Club welcomes children from age four. Floral wallpaper, a reading corner and a painting table bring the garden theme indoors, with board games and table tennis for older children. Activities can include making ice cream, building small boats and exploring the hotel gardens. Art workshops at Casa Epper connect the program with the resort's cultural spaces. Boat excursions are also arranged, with participation handled through the activity team.

For rail arrivals, the hotel can arrange pickup at Locarno station when given the arrival details. Guests driving to the resort have outdoor parking and a limited number of garage spaces; garage reservations can be arranged in advance. Milan Malpensa is approximately an hour and a half away by car, and Zurich Airport about three hours, with both estimates dependent on traffic. The concierge can organize airport transfers. Once at Eden Roc, Ascona's pedestrian center is close enough for a walk along the lake rather than another car journey.
