The St. Regis Mauritius Resort

The St. Regis Mauritius Resort is nestled on the legendary Le Morne peninsula at Mauritius's island's far southwestern tip. Overlooking sparkling white sand beaches and a pristine turquoise lagoon, the peninsula was added to the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 2008. Nearby, myriad caves, steep slopes, rare plants - including the Mandrinette and Trochetia Boutoniana - and a singular 500-meter-high basaltic rock define the surrounding areas dramatic natural beauty. Additional outdoor destinations include Black River Gorges National Park, La Vanille Crocodile and Casela Parks, and the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden.

On the southwestern side of the island, Le Morne Beach's soft white sands and its warm turquoise lagoon create a magical setting where lavishly appointed accommodation and pampering converge amid the many charms of Mauritius. The St. Regis Mauritius Resort is a five-star luxury resort with 172 guest suites boasting endless views over the Indian Ocean waters and hotel service excellence. Explore Epicurean Invitations at one of the many gastronomic destinations offering French-inspired influences, Southeast Asian exotic dishes, fine Japanese selections, and traditional Mauritian Cuisine. Discover the world-class water sports facilities, including Kitesurfing, Surfing, and Premier Diving.

Aside from the captivating scenery, consistent offshore breezes make the area a top spot for kite flying or kite surfing. The translucent waters also draw visitors and locals searching for ocean activities ranging from big game fishing, undersea walking, and swimming with dolphins to sailing, snorkeling, diving, and more. For an extremely memorable adventure, there are helicopter tours and skydiving adventures. Meanwhile, a day trip to the nearby Île aux Cerfs reveals some of the region’s most breathtaking beaches. Simultaneously, just 20 minutes away, Tamarina Golf Course presents the island’s most pristine golfing experience.

Although it was actualized in 2012 by South African architect Stauch Vorster, the legacy of The St. Regis Mauritius Resort dates back more than 100 years. At that time, the Manor House, which forms the center of the resort, served as the home of a local family of privilege. Enabled by the head of the household´s success in the Mauritian sugar and rum trade, the family enjoyed ample time basking in the dramatic landscape on the Le Morne peninsula and embarking on marine adventures in the turquoise waters that lapped the foot of the family home.

Suites - An elegant yet inviting island ambiance permeates the 172 exquisite guest rooms and suites at The St. Regis Mauritius Resort. State-of-the-art technology, a 42-inch LED TV with a DVD player, iPod connection panel, and complimentary Wi-Fi, entertains. At the same time, a marble-top mini bar with coffee and tea maker provides the refreshments. A custom, handcrafted wooden bed frame topped with a signature St. Regis bed wrapped in crisp, white 300-thread-count linens sets the scene for an unparalleled night’s sleep, which is elevated by the spacious bathroom featuring a standalone oval bathtub and separate walk-in rainshower accompanied by premier Remède bath amenities, plush bathrobes, and slippers.
