Petra looks across the caldera from its cliffside dining terrace. Executive chef Tasos Stefatos leads a kitchen focused on Greek-inspired fine dining. The setting is intimate, but the food reaches beyond Santorini, drawing on ingredients from across Greece. Dinner is served in the evening, with elegant resort-casual dress. Wine director Elina Dakanali oversees the wine program, and Christos Kalomoiris leads the pastry kitchen.

The signature O Topos Mas degustation follows nine courses. There is also a nine-course vegetarian menu built around seasonal vegetables, grains and Greek cheeses. For a shorter meal, First Experience lets you choose a starter, main course and dessert from the seasonal selection.

Among the signature menu's dishes are amberjack with wild asparagus, tamarind and citrus, and turbot in beeswax with charred peas and Chios mastiha. Amfilochia shrimp appears with wild mushrooms, lemongrass and handmade ravioli. Lamb from Elassona is served with chickpeas and wild artichokes from Tinos. The dessert named Petra combines dark chocolate with Kalamata olive, Santorini Vinsanto and blueberries. Wine pairings can accompany the menu. Ingredients and dishes change with the season and availability, so these examples give a sense of the kitchen's approach rather than a fixed menu.

The Panorama Balcony Experience is a separate, secluded setting for a private Greek-inspired dinner above the sea. It also hosts intimate celebrations, with the view taking the place of elaborate decoration. The balcony is reserved for one party each evening. Dinner is designed for two guests, with the menu prepared by the team at Petra restaurant. In-room dining is available when you would rather eat on your own terrace. These quieter meals have their place alongside Petra's tasting-menu evening.

The Junior Suite with Plunge Pool starts with 35 square meters of indoor space for two guests. A king bed sits within an open-plan bedroom and living area, though some layouts have a separate bedroom and living room. The bathroom has a rain shower. Outside, a veranda pairs a plunge-pool Jacuzzi with a dining space overlooking the caldera. The suite also has a Nespresso machine, with a tea kettle available on request, and room service runs around the clock. American breakfast is served from 8am to 11am.

The Superior Suite with Plunge Pool measures 45 square meters for two. It has a king bed, space for outdoor dining and sun loungers, and either an open-plan or separate living area. Both Junior and Superior categories have heated plunge pools.

The Executive Suite with Cave Pool has a different arrangement, with 70 square meters indoors and another 50 outside. Its bedroom contains a king bed and a freestanding bathtub. There is a separate living room and a bathroom with a double rain shower, while the veranda has sun loungers and a cave pool. White and blue interiors pick up the colors of the sea beyond. This one-bedroom suite accommodates two.

The 80-square-meter Canaves Suite with Private Pool accommodates up to five. A king bedroom and rain-shower bathroom occupy the loft, while the second bedroom is on the lower level, where twin beds are an option. There is another bathroom near the living room and dining area. The veranda adds a private pool and an outdoor table, facing the volcano and sea.

The Three Bedroom Villa with Infinity Pool accommodates up to seven. All three bedrooms have king beds that can convert to twins. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, one with a bathtub, and the villa also has a separate living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen. Two verandas hold an infinity pool, an outdoor hot tub and space to dine outside. A private chef can be arranged on request.

The spa occupies a seventeenth-century wine cave, with treatments offered through partnerships with Valmont, Cinq Mondes and Kos Paris. Its facilities include two treatment rooms, a nail studio, a sauna and a Rasul steam bath. There is also an outdoor treatment room for couples facing the caldera. The contrast between the cave interior and the open-air treatment setting is a distinctive part of wellness here.

In the Rasul ritual, an aromatic body mask is used in a steam chamber finished with ornate ceramics and a starlit ceiling. The treatment is available for one or two people. Spa with a View is a 75-minute couples' massage combining full-body work with a head and scalp massage. For exercise, the fitness center has indoor and outdoor spaces, including treadmills and elliptical trainers. Yoga, Pilates, cardio and strength sessions are also available.

Beyond the individual verandas, the hotel's shared pool setting includes an infinity edge facing the caldera. The sea stretches beyond the terrace, bringing the view into a swim as well as a meal or time spent outdoors.

An elevator serves almost all hotel levels and main facilities, but the property still follows Oia's cliffside terrain. Guests with mobility concerns should discuss the exact route to their accommodation before booking. The hotel accepts guests aged 13 and over. For arrivals at Santorini Airport or the island's ferry port, the concierge can organize onward transfers to the hotel. Private parking is available for guests arriving by car, with electric-vehicle charging stations at the hotel.

From here, you can walk through the village toward its Venetian Castle or browse the boutiques along the way.
