Xasteria keeps Cretan cooking in view among the resort's restaurants. It is worth including in a stay for that regional focus, particularly if most evenings will be spent on property. Petrino serves seafood at lunch, while Blue Monkey turns to Asian fusion. These are distinct dining choices rather than several versions of the same menu, giving a longer visit some variety.

At Minotaur, Mediterranean cooking shares the setting with Picasso ceramics. The art is a specific reason to notice the room as well as the food. Amirandes The Restaurant handles buffet dining, which can be useful when a family has different tastes at the same meal. Knossos Patisserie gives pastries a dedicated address within the resort.

Labyrinth is the lagoon bar; Sunset Lounge provides another place for drinks. Most venues operate from April through October, while Minotaur, Labyrinth, and the patisserie also operate in winter. The dining selection is therefore broader in summer, with Mediterranean meals, the lagoon bar, and pastries remaining part of a winter stay.

The Amirandes Residence Waterfront takes outdoor space further, with 750 square meters outside and 311 square meters indoors. Pool heating for these two villa categories is available on request at an additional charge.

Grecoland serves children aged four to 12, six days a week during the season. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, and cooking, with Grecokids for ages four to six and Grecojuniors for seven to 12. Teen activities cover ages 13 to 17. These age groups give younger children and teenagers activities suited to their stage, with sessions following the seasonal calendar.

Tennis, padel, football, and basketball give older children and adults options beyond the pools. Pottery, weaving, cooking, and cinema experiences depend on the activity calendar, so leave room in the week for the sessions taking place during your stay.

The Elixir Alchemy Spa gives the resort a quieter side. It has an indoor pool, sauna, massage rooms, and a beauty salon, with treatments drawing on Cretan plants and herbs. Access is for guests aged 16 and above, and reservations are required. The expanded gym uses Technogym and Cybex equipment, while yoga and Pilates add other ways to exercise between beach days.

Heraklion airport is 18 kilometers away, and Heraklion town and port are 23 kilometers from the resort. Those distances make the location practical for combining a beach stay with time in the city. Knossos and Malia are accessible by road for archaeological outings, bringing ancient Crete into an itinerary otherwise centered on the coast.

Crete also has a deep food culture outside the resort. Agreco Farm is in Rethymnon, so a visit belongs in the itinerary as an excursion, not a walk from the hotel. A few chosen outings can give the week a wider view of the island, leaving other days for Xasteria, the seawater pool, and the cove at Kato Gouves.
