The Dior connection - Back in 1946, Christian Dior opened his first boutique on avenue Montaigne, inspired by the idea of attracting elegant guests. In homage to his love of the hotel, his collections included creations called Plaza and Athénée. The legendary Dior Bar suit was even inspired by the chic women who frequented the bar. Continuing this long relationship, the spa is a Dior Institut decorated with fashion sketches by Christian Dior and photos of his fashion shoots at the hotel.

Restaurants & Bars - "Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée" - Here, Alain Ducasse tells a personal and radical story, continuing the work he began twenty-five years ago. He represents the naturalness cuisine, inspired by the fish-vegetables-cereals trilogy, with the help of his chef Romain Meder. Healthier and more natural, more respectful of the Planet, it delivers a free and nearly instinctive interpretation of Haute Cuisine, revealing the produces’ original flavor, from the noble to the humble, all exceptional. The art and beauty of naturalness - Introducing you to great produce. Locally sourced and seasonally relevant. Kind to the planet around us. Sustainable fishing, rediscovered grains, exclusively grown vegetables from the queen’s garden at the Château de Versailles. This is healthy and natural food, prepared to perfection. In tune with nature - The cuisine interprets the concept of ‘nature’s generosity’ by celebrating the trilogy of fish, vegetables, and cereal. A diet more in tune with nature and better for your health. "Chef Alain Ducasse" - Over thirty years, Alain Ducasse has developed his unique gourmet cuisine expertise. He is now at the helm of 30 restaurants worldwide (including three with three Michelin stars) and a collection of independent hotels. His approach is founded on two main desires: to share his passion for good food and to pass on his exceptional culinary knowledge. It’s this inquisitive nature and determination which creates the extraordinary dining experiences at Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée.
"Le Relais Plaza" - Step into warm, old-school charm, classic style, and a ballet of seamless service choreographed by the maestro and legend that is your host, Werner Küchler. Le Relais Plaza offers a cocktail of elegance that great names the world over find utterly intoxicating. The ship of light - Le Relais Plaza’s design was modeled on the restaurant on board the SS Normandie, ‘the ship of light’ whose lavish Art deco style lent her the title of the greatest of ocean liners. She was also a floating promotion for the sophisticated French cuisine of the period. "Chef Philippe Marc" - After honing his craft in several three-star restaurants, Philippe Marc entered the world of luxury hotels, traveling the length and breadth of southeast France, where he met Alain Ducasse. After heading up a family restaurant in Lyon, Marc came to Paris to manage a small yet hugely successful restaurant in the Latin quarter. He was reunited with Ducasse, who in 2000 named him chef at Le Relais Plaza and head of event catering for the hotel.
"La Galerie" - For many Parisians, La Galerie is shorthand for pure pleasure. The ideal spot for breakfast, a light lunch, spontaneous pre-dinner drinks, or the delicious afternoon tea. The place to be - In the heart of the hotel on the renowned avenue Montaigne, Hôtel Plaza Athénée has long attracted a fashionable crowd to La Galerie. This determinedly chic space brims with calm elegance, happily passing the day under the gentle melodies of harps and soft conversation. Bringing modernity to a landmark - Bruno Moinard was entrusted with the careful renovation of La Galerie. An extraordinary setting for Paris moments.
