Waterfront is the closest SkyTrain station, giving you a rail option for arrival from Vancouver International Airport. By car, the hotel estimates around 30 to 40 minutes from the airport, with traffic affecting the journey.

Cycling opens up a longer stretch of the waterfront. Bicycles are available on a first-come basis, and the hotel's partnership with Spokes Bicycle Rentals also provides electric options under separate rental arrangements. A ride along the Stanley Park Seawall makes practical use of this location, with time outside built into the day rather than requiring an excursion away from downtown.

A Fairmont Room measures 400 square feet and comes with a king bed or two queens, overlooking the city. Marble bathrooms have a bath or shower, so a soaking tub should be specified when that matters. Two-queen layouts are useful when sharing a room with children. Cribs and adjoining rooms can be requested, with the arrangement confirmed for the particular reservation.

The view and outdoor space deserve as much attention as the room's size. Signature Harbour Mountain View rooms also measure 400 square feet, with outlooks toward Coal Harbour, Stanley Park or the North Shore Mountains. Deluxe Pool View rooms have a private patio or balcony beside the pool setting; only some have outdoor fireplaces. For a separate bedroom and more living space, the 950-square-foot Pool View Suite adds an outdoor fireplace to its patio or balcony.

Fairmont Gold has interiors by Nivek Remas across floors 20 to 22. Green B&B Italia sofas and Bocci pendant lights give the rooms a recognizable identity, alongside works by Canadian artist Benjamin Kapoor. Gold accommodation includes access to its own lounge on the 20th floor, where a terrace faces the waterfront. Made-to-order breakfast and evening canapes are served here, and a dedicated concierge team handles arrangements. This is a category-specific part of the stay, not a lounge open to every hotel guest.

The Ofuro name appears in two distinct categories. Fairmont Gold Ofuro King rooms have 400 square feet, a jetted tub, a separate spa shower and a Japanese-style washlet, with harbor and mountain views. The Signature Ofuro Room is a separate, non-Gold choice: a 450-square-foot king room with a Japanese-style jetted soaking tub in its marble bathroom.

Accessible accommodation is available, including rooms with roll-in showers and grab bars beside the toilet. Confirm the bathroom layout and room allocation when arranging a stay with mobility requirements.

Botanist gives the hotel's dining a clear Pacific Northwest focus. Executive Chef Hector Laguna works with regional produce and seafood, drawing on growers who use organic agricultural methods. The restaurant serves weekday lunch and weekend brunch as well as dinner, currently scheduled Tuesday through Saturday. Its bar has a cocktail lab, while the wine selection pays attention to smaller producers and sustainable or biodynamic farming. That combination leaves room for a meal centered on the cooking or an evening spent exploring the drinks.

The Lobby Lounge & RawBar changes pace as the day progresses. Lunch includes bento boxes and sushi, with nonalcoholic drinks alongside the cocktail selection. By evening, Japanese sharing dishes and live performances make it a more animated place to settle in. The menu extends beyond rolls to nigiri, sashimi and warm plates, allowing a full meal without moving into a formal dining room. Music is part of the nightly program here, so the lobby is a social space rather than a reliably quiet place for conversation.

Fairmont Spa occupies the fifth floor. It has 14 treatment rooms, a Himalayan salt sauna and a steam room, with both a women's lounge and shared relaxation space. Outside, the spa terrace has a mineral Jacuzzi, dry sauna, loungers and fire pits. These are distinct from the hotel's sixth-floor swimming-pool facilities.

Massages, facials and body treatments are available, along with experiences for two. Fairmont Spa is for guests aged 18 and over. Staying in the hotel does not automatically include its thermal facilities: amenity-only visits are booked separately in paid 90-minute sessions, while a spa treatment includes up to two hours of facility use. The timing should be coordinated with the treatment booked.

Also on the fifth floor, the Wellness Club x HOUSE Concepts is the fitness facility, with 24-hour access. Cardio equipment, dumbbells and a Frame Pilates Reformer support independent workouts. For a guided session, the club has bookable LAB small-group training and personal training.

The outdoor swimming pool occupies the sixth-floor deck, with palms, an open-air Jacuzzi and places to lounge. Cabana Bar serves the deck, and private cabanas can be reserved for an additional charge. The pool currently opens daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Hotel guests of all ages use this area, giving it a different atmosphere from the adult spa downstairs.

The collection begins outside. Liam Gillick's lettering runs across the building between floors five and 22, making the architecture itself part of the work. At street level, Bocci's 16.755 installation brings together 755 illuminated glass leaves on branching supports. The hotel's Building Artistry guide follows works around the exterior and through the public spaces. It is a way to look more closely at details that might otherwise become background on the walk between your room and dinner.

Suite X takes that interest into a guest room. Created with Canadian artist and author Douglas Coupland, it occupies a Fairmont Gold Corner Suite and draws on his novel Generation X. Pop-art elements, custom furniture and an in-suite bar give it a different visual character from the other Gold rooms.
