Cornelia Fischer leads Restaurant Überfahrt. Her cooking combines regional ingredients, including produce grown by the team, with ideas from beyond Bavaria. Her experience includes time in the restaurant's own kitchen and with Andreas Caminada in Switzerland.

Restaurant Überfahrt is a meal to plan around, rather than a casual stop after a walk. Reserve ahead for a food-focused weekend, allowing time to appreciate a menu that brings the surrounding region into the dining room.

There is more to dining here than the tasting-menu restaurant. Il Barcaiolo serves northern Italian cooking under Stefano Romano, with dishes such as fresh pasta and saltimbocca. It gives a longer stay a change of pace without leaving the hotel. Egerner Bucht looks over the bay and serves an Alpine breakfast buffet, followed in the evening by a changing three-course menu shaped by culinary director Walter Leufen.

Bayernstube represents the hotel's traditional Bavarian dining heritage, with a culinary identity associated with veal sausages, pork knuckle and char.

The redesigned Überfahrer Bar works throughout a different part of the day, from coffee and cakes made by the hotel's pastry team to cocktails. For a stay centered on Tegernsee, the view deserves as much attention as floor area. An Alpine-facing room and a lake-facing one are not interchangeable, even at the same level. The Wallberg Suite offers roughly 72 square meters with mountain views, while the Tegernsee Suite has about 90 square meters and a panoramic lake outlook.

The approximately 80-square-meter Maisonette Lake View Suite is arranged over two floors. Depending on the suite, it has either a conservatory or a roof terrace of around 30 square meters. The split-level layout gives it a different character from a single-floor suite and is worth considering if stairs are a concern.
