Are the VIP Benefits really free?
Yes. For eligible rates and hotels, you pay at least the hotel’s best publicly available rate, and the added benefits (such as breakfast, VIP Status, Upgrade, hotel credit) are included as part of our preferred partner agreements – not as a separate surcharge.
What happens if a benefit is missing at check-in?
Upgrades, Early Check-in and Late Check-out are typically subject to availability at the time of check-in. If the higher room category is available at the time of check-in, the hotel is obliged to grant the upgrade. If, despite availability, you do not receive an upgrade at check-in, please contact our team immediately so we can review the situation. As the upgrade is a complimentary benefit for you, it cannot be claimed or requested retroactively after your stay. Our preferred partner status and relationships significantly improve your chances, but they cannot be guaranteed in advance unless explicitly confirmed by the hotel.
Do I need to be a member to book with PrivateUpgrades?
Yes. Because we add exclusive VIP benefits on top of the hotel’s official rate, we can only offer these perks if you are a PrivateUpgrades member. At the moment, membership is completely free of charge.
How do I know which hotel or rate is best for my trip?
Simply contact us with your dates and preferences. Your Travel Designer will recommend the best combination of hotel, room type, rate and benefits, explaining clearly what is guaranteed and what is subject to availability.
What is the Core Guarantee?
The Core Guarantee is PrivateUpgrades’ commitment that you receive a defined set of luxury hotel benefits with every eligible booking. These core benefits are contractually secured through our hotel partnerships and are not subject to availability.
Which benefits are guaranteed?
Guaranteed benefits typically include daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit at participating properties, and VIP recognition by the hotel. The exact benefits are clearly displayed before you book.
Do I pay more compared to booking directly with the hotel?
No. You always pay the best publicly available rate offered by the hotel. The included benefits are added at no extra cost.
Are room upgrades guaranteed?
Room upgrades, early check-in, and late check-out are subject to availability and therefore cannot be guaranteed. However, they are always requested on your behalf and prioritized by the hotel whenever possible.
What happens if a guaranteed benefit is not honored?
If a guaranteed benefit is not provided during your stay, your assigned Travel Designer will intervene directly with the hotel to resolve the issue or arrange appropriate compensation.
Does the Core Guarantee apply to all hotels?
The Core Guarantee applies to participating luxury hotels and resorts that are part of our preferred partner programs. Guaranteed benefits are clearly marked for each property.
Who supports me before and during my stay?
Every booking is supported by a dedicated Travel Designer who acts as your personal point of contact before, during, and after your stay.
